Songs that would go with a coaster (i.e. R&RC)

I think El Nino by Agnelli & Nelson is perfect for X.  Why do I think this?  It's the song they used in the animation!  Makes for a really futuristic, techno feel...one that would go perfectly with X.

Actually the final X-Flight soundtrack made had many of these songs. Heres a list of what I can remember.

One step closer -Linkin Park, Fly Away- Lenny Kravitz, Crazy Train-Ozzy, I Beleive I can Fly- R Kelly, Enter Sandman- Metalicca, thats what I can remember but there were about 5 more maybe.

The theme song to the game Mouse Trap should be played at every wild mouse coaster.  "It's a crazy contraption, it MOUSE TRAP!"   How cool would that be?  It'd get annoying real fast though.  I think orchestral music sounds best with rides like DD, Nemesis, Steel Phantom, Apollo's Chariot, Goliath/Titan, Tonnere de Zeus, well, you get the picture.  Other rides such as Hulk, X-Flight, some Superman's and Batman's, Twisted Sisters, Riddler's Revenge, Oblivion, X, etc..., should have fast paced techno or rock music.  But that's just my opinion.

"History of a Boring Town" by Less Than Jake...not the most well-known song, but absolutely perfect for any park and/or coaster.

Most coasters don't need music. Almost all the ones that do already have it. I myself love B:TR's sound track. All that funny 80's crap. Some rides I can think of that do need music are as follows.
Raging Bull: Move one of the live bands from the territory into the queue, near the station.
Wild Thing: Wild Thing by Steppenwolf, of course!
Revolution: Revolution by the Beatles. It doesn't fit coasters all that well, but Revolution was quite a revolution in coaster technology.

CI Cyclone or CI Cyclone clones: Twist and Shout by the Beatles. The only bad part is it's a short song, so if it's all they played, ride-ops would be killing the people who can't figure out the restraint system right way because they hate the song, then thier job, then life so much they don't care what they do.

On Millennium Force, only the first ride of the day, they should play Here Comes the Sun in the station, and as the first train leaves the song follows it up the lift hill and finishes just as it crests the lift. Too bad that the park doesn't open early enough where you could accually ride it right as the sun rises... That would be an awesome sight. Just out of curiosity, which way does the lift face? East, west, north, or south?

If any Star Trek themed coaster is ever built, they should play Tenacious D's Star Trek Theme. That's halarious.

The funny thing is that R&RC is the only coaster within a 5-hour drive I HAVEN'T been on, and it's largely due to their choice of music...

Its mentioned above, but I would like to see Metallica's Enter Sandman on a coaster.

I would also like to have a built in feature on the trains to turn your seat's speakers off.  That way you have a choice if you want the music or not.  I haven't ever found a coaster soundtrack that I didn't like, but I assume that some people have.

Perhaps a way to switch between several songs, and choose which one you want for your ride would be cool.

Well there is a Jazz song that would be awsome for Lightning Racer...Thunder and Lightning...and why not Firebird Suite for Phoenix at Knoebles?

SHOULD you go one post without mentioning "that park"...lol!  My first trip to Knoebel's was this PPP, Jill absolutely insists we go every year (owww, she's twisting my arm ;~)!  Can't I just get better weather, TOO cold for us Floridians.  For Twister, I'll give my age away and recommend either "Twist and Shout" or "The Twist"...actually, I'm ONLY 34...

I agree about Linkin Park! I think Bitch by Meredith Brooks should be played in the Son of Beast queue. Somehow describes the ride perfectly.

How I wish you had your track record on here rollergator! Have you been on Barnstormer, Dragon Wagon, Windstorm, Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster, Flying Dragon, Hurricane, Wild Adventure's coasters? I don't know how long it takes to get to Panama City, so I won't mention those coasters, but you should really try R&RC. Wear ear plugs if you have to. :)
