Son of Beast:Whats it like?

Sonny is NOW the coaster it was intended to be. During CBCon, I decided to give Sonny another try. Previously, I thought the coaster ran badly into (and through) the first helix. Now, it seems like the train enters the first helix with the right speed and banking, and runs smooth and powerful all the way into the midcourse...after that, near perfection. Sonny V1.0 was unique, but not nearly as re-rideable.....the improvements rival those on the "lapped" FoF....
My bad 2Hostyl. I thought you would know that the whole thing about you was a joke. I know you don't start flame wars, so don't worry about me thinking you do and I think Jeff knows as well that I was joking with you guys. Sorry for the confusion. You've never bothered me in the least, so I wouldn't say anything like that about you seriously.

the only time jeremy really got me riled up was when he threatened to become a lurker.....that got me! I'm opinionated as anyone (probably more than most, LOL), and I really appreciate those who will state their opinions, and even throw in some facts to back up their arguments....the basis for good discussion IMO.....

But as far as Sonny is concerned, once the foliage grows in, that will be one sweeeet ride.....still AMAZED at how much better it is.....just don't tell the Geeps!...;)

All I can say is that they need bigger cars for bigger people and the ride was rough on the Big Helix part...But very smooth on the loop.

Well, finally, me the starter of this topic, has ridden SOB. I rode it two times through out the day (luckily short lines) and realized that the ride differs so muh more from even where you sit. The first time, I rode in the very front. It was incredible and surprisingly smooth for my taste. The drop was probably my favorite part of it, the loop in close second. The ride obviously rides a lot different than what it looks. I noticed this because on the huge helix right after the first drop, the trach seems to swoop down and swoop vack up. When I rode it, I realized that it more drops down, turns, then goes back up.

My second ride however was a little less fun. I sat in the second row from the front (shortest line) and found the ride to be quite painful in that seat. I hurt my shoulder and almost got the wind knocked out of me on the stopping brakes. I must admit that those breaks do stop the train unusually fast, considering how fast you go onto them.

Overall, the ride was adequate but not the best. The seats and cars made me feel somewhat clastrophobic and scared me a bit, especially how the foot rest things are so close to where you sit. I would ride the SOB again, but only after finding out what seats don't hurt that much. I will have a trip report out later today.
