Son Of Beast

I look at a rough coaster like a cool crisp autumn morning. It makes you feel alive! I did not find SOB to be that bad though, and I rode in the front middle and back. On wheels and off.

You people who say SOB is the roughest thing you have ever been obviously havent been on the Steel Phantom...it's the only ride to ever give me a headache...multiple times. Its my pick for roughest ride ever.

Kennywood Park, America's finest traditional amusement park.

Tambo glad I'm not the only sadist here! LOL

I honestly feel if I don't come back to the hotel room sore and with bruses and possibly scrapes on my shoulders and arms, then I didn't have a good time.

CP - minor rub burns on shoulders, scrapes on arms, bird poop on shirt, no headache. I felt I had a good time. Definitely worth another go.

PKI - severe sorness, bruising on thighs and arms, major headache. This was the best time I've ever had a park! PKI awesome and I hope to return as soon as possible.

See.. for some of us there is no such thing as a rough coaster. Some of even believe that a coaster can be "too smooth". I'm not one of those people.. but I do believe that roughness adds to the enjoyment of the ride. :)

I love that ride!

I may not have gone on many big coasters...yet(CP trip is coming up soon), but the equasion for a good coaster is Hyper+Looping+Wood.

It's a winning combonation!

On the topic of roughness, wasn`t Son of Beast supposed to be getting new lap bars this year? Last I heard the manufacturer of the lap bars had some prolonged delay in delivering them. Anyone know if PKI is still planning on changing the lap bars, and getting rid of the annoying raised floor?

God bless Intamin, Company that I love. Stand beside her, and ride her, from the opening to the closing of the day.

In regard to some previous posts, I must agree that I find Mean Streak to be much better than Son of Beast in terms of pain. Also, I really had no problem with Steel Phantom after many rides. I probably remember one or two rides in the back that gave some pretty bad headbanging, but Son of Beast left me in decent pain.
