Adjustable height horsecollar ...... fixed!
Good thinking outside the box. I've often wondered if these types of problems could be fixed with better restraint designs. I found that when I rode the Steel Phantom, once you became familiar with the ride and moved your body with the moves instead of trying to fight them, you wouldn't experience the head banging sensation. Almost like being a coaster cowboy.
That said, I recently rode GASM at SFGAdv and found it to be decent as well. It was a bit bangy, but definately not what I remember Shockwave being.
My real issue with the Arrow cars, however, is with the placement of the padding on the back. For most adults, that lands somewhere in the middle of the back and is seriously uncomfortable. This is especially evident in the Corkscrews at CP and VF. If you are an adult, they are nearly unrideable.
Certain victory.

I've never seen anyone mention this before. I thought I was the only one. I agree totally.
But gonch, I'm a whole 6 inches taller than you. I actually have noticed that on some arrows, my height puts my head above headbanging.
Yeah, but that's kind of my point. I'm right in the middle of the mayhem and I just don't get the headbanging on the Arrow and Togo rides. Maybe my skull is too thick?
SLC's on the other hand...
