Mine is "about right" too. My Dad claims he has film of me riding a kiddie coaster I don't have on my count and can screw up my milestones, LOL!

Re: Matterhorn. Whether it's one or two, it's still WAYYYY better than Tek says...

Although....now I think I'd rather have Ice Mountain Bobsleds, only with Matterhorn's trains... :)

EE may actually be the first *thrilling* coaster in Disney's arsenal. They're all FUN, but none of them are "thrill rides"...apologies to RnRC or CS fans...;)

Hiyas Gator,

Well, (this date might be WRONG, but) in 1977 when Space Mountain OPENED, it WAS a THRILL RIDE!

As a kid, in 1977, there were VERY VERY VERY few "THRILL COASTERS" in existance.

Everyone reading CB can THANK ME NOW!!! for standing in LONG, very LONG, lines at all of the coasters you now complain about!

If we had not paid the price, and stood in long lines, future coasters would not have been built.

When I rode X, the line was a whole bunch shorter then many of the "old" rides the majority of Buzzers complain about (yes, about the same time of year).

It hasn't been THAT many years, I'm NOT "THAT" old, yet!

Having just ridden the new-and-improved Space Mtn I can tell you it is MUCH more thrilling now. Nice job, Disneyland!

I was shocked at how amazing it was when I rode it in July. The new lighting, the killer sound, and the B&M-esque smoothness made it a potential top 10 ride for me, just because of sheer FUN.

Don't you mean lack of lighting, Peabody? ;)

The old Space Mtn wasn't dark enough...you could clearly see track and supports. The new version is considerably darker altough the "chocolate chip cookie" asteroid is gone as far as I can tell.

Exactly. There were stars everywhere, but the track was "invisible". I've heard that the cookie is gone, but a huge, multi-colored, psychadelic light-infused planet exists in the center of the building for part of the new "Rock-it Mountain" experience at night which is debuting soon.
