SLC question

Somehow, I don't think Six Flags would have liked to get an exact El Condor clone.. there where a lot of problems with El Condor. The back two coaches haven't been removed for nothing.

Well, I'm not sure how to answer that (except that KK was not owned by Six Flags when T2 was added). Fact is, T2 is a clone of El Condor. Perhaps the problems you speak of were not fully realized until after T2 was purchased. That would be a reasonable explanation for why there were several modified versions installed in various parks that same year.

Come to think of it, you might be right. Back in 1994/1995 Vekoma always had an SLC in stock. Perhaps both T2 and El Condor where manufactured at about the same time. There should be some minor modifications though.

p.b. - Don't worry, we're all newbies in the world of coaster at some point. SLC is an abbreviation for "Suspended Looping Coaster." That's what Vekoma calls their inverted coaster model. If you scroll up you can see some people have posted links to pics of what they look like.

Roomraider, Jubilee Odyssey at Fantasy Island isn't a custom SLC, but a standard GSLC (a.k.a. XSLC). There are three generations of SLC, with all minor difference. Mainly in supports and banking. The station and trimbrakes are a bit shorter in the second and third generation than in the first.
