Skyfall?

Sounds like a pretty good name for a drop ride or coaster, no? It's actually the just-announced title of the next James Bond flick. Although I don't enjoy the modern Bond films, I usually end up watching them once in some form.

Daniel Craig is easily the best Bond of all time. I don't thin he gets enough credit. I found the others, including Connery, to be silly.

Definitely better than the immortal George Lazenby. Or David Niven/Woody Allen/Peter Sellers. How about Barry Nelson, the first man to ever play Bond?

See, I'm a Roger Moore guy, only because those are the ones I saw in theaters growing up. His first was Live and Let Die, also the first one I saw on anything other than a television screen..and a small one, at that.

The only reason I don't consider Craig to be the best Bond of all time is because he hasn't done enough films yet. So, in my opinion, Connery still reigns supreme.

Chance W Mitchell
2009: 43 parks; 73 days; 251 coasters; 2462 coaster laps; 1 epic summer

ALL HAIL THE TRIPLE DOWN!

^Too bad this is going to be his last film. The only two Bonds I've known have been Bronsan and Craig and I thought they've both done a good job.

I honestly think they were all good... they just played the roles differently. I wasn't a fan of the latter Moore films where everything became a friggin' joke, but his earlier roles were very good.

I also think that Timothy Dalton is horribly underrated as a Bond. If you look back at his two films now, he seems a prototype for the way that Daniel Craig plays the role.

Hi

Sorry was not a big Timothy Dalton fan. His were just so so to me. We have had the entire collection on VHS now have all the DVD versions. My sons and I really wish they could do another Diamonds are Forever. That is my all time Favorite with For Your Eyes Only (mostly for the non stop stunts). I have enjoyed the new reboot with Craig and I do like him as Bond. I thought he was signed up for more Bond movies however. If you have not seen the original Casino Royale you must watch it. It is a wacky movie and if you read the behind the scenes stuff you will understand why and why the ending is how it came out.

I've seen the original, as well as the original original black and white TV version. Quite a leap from those to where the franchise is now.

Funny, Diamonds Are Forever is one of my least favorites. I think it's the lead woman. She annoys me. I do like all the shots of old-school Vegas, though.

Hi

My Favorite Bond Flick is The Spy Who Loved Me..meets all the criteria:

Great Villain..Jaws

Great Car..Underwater Lotus

Great Theme Song..Carly Simon

Gorgeous Leading Lady..Mrs. Ringo Starr

What else do you need?

Well, there is one "sky fall" already, albeit not in the U.S.

* this doesn't look like the safest ride in the world... the seats tilt forward pretty far, but I can't seem to find any good images that I can post here. I don't think I'd get on it... o.O

Ouch! Those seats snapping back like that would give me a headache!

I always liked the Bond movie where the woman was named Pussy Galore, don't really know if that was Octopussy or not.

Octopussy (which was a code name) was in Octopussy. Pussy Galore, played by Honor Blackman, was in Goldfinger.

Thank you for the info on that. I'm not much of a Bond fanatic, but I do enjoy the movies.

Not a fan of Daniel Craig, but respect his role...

Would have preferred the Role went to Pierce Brosnan in lieu of Timothy Dalton - but can't change history.

...or NBC's mind, when they wouldn't let Brosnan out of his Remington Steele contract.

Yeah, wish NBC would have let him out of it. He is a good Bond.

I thought he bordered on the worst. He was so cheesy.

Yeah, Brosnan was sort of the stereotypical caricature of what Bond has kind of evolved into. He played that bit well, but it's not really true to the actual character. I haven't seen either of the Craig movies yet, as I'm not much of a Bond fanatic, but my favorite so far was Connery.
