SFoT has a terrible collection, and I dearly mean it. I'm just about to the point where I'd take several new, good flat rides over a roller coaster. This would help the coaster lines shorten, and parkgoers would have an overall better experience.
Right now, all there is are: Swinging ship, Sombrero, Scrambler, Swings, Bumper cars, and two boring freefalls. Now, you can't tell me that SF can't roll in 3-4 good ones for us? (I'm personally fond of Huss Frisbees!)
Valpie: What makes you so sure that a bunch of flat rides will help coaster lines? I've heard this tossed around, but I dont think there is any real evidence to support this theory. Yes, GAdv added a bunch of new attractions to "declare war on the lines", but did it work? Even *if* it could be proven that lines for the coasters went down, I could argue that its *only* because the attractions were *new*, once the novelty wears off, I think people will revert back to the coasters. I think they hold their appeal longer. Besides, I dont think GAdv has ever had all there flat rides working on any one day.

You may be right, Jeremy. I did no research to back up the statement, just going off something I think I remember hearing somewhere once.
As far as how flat rides affect a park, i dunno. But I rarely ride any flat rides, and I certainly wont WAIT in a line for them for more than a pass or two. My all-time favorite, the zipper, though is missing from all the parks I have been to. What a shame.
