Six Flags Wooden Coasters

IIRC, I read or heard somewhere that the wood from Herc was going to be used by local farmers for barns and such....could be wrong on that.
I'm not sure about that, although reuse is definitely the best way to deal with PTL.

It turns out LSU has a program looking into ways of separating the wood and its preservatives. That article was written in July 2005, I couldn't find any references of further developments (but then I only did a quick Google search)

(Edit: The article was posted in July, not June as I originally mistyped) *** Edited 4/19/2006 12:50:01 PM UTC by GregLeg***

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

As said above: Burning pressure treated wood is like asking for a trip to the hospital.
My ex and her hubby have a fireplace and decided one winter nite to burn some wood. They used treated 4x4's. My daughter fainted after about 15 mins and ws rushed to the hospital. she's fine now, but that was one expensive lesson to learn.
