What Giga?

Colorado Avalanche 1-0. Go Avs!

I dont think a morgan giga is likely first off. Why swicth from the B&M and Intamin Hypers tryed and true. Bringing a new company in might be risky. I see a Intamin Giga instead o Morgan why. Becuase of cost. The Morgan lift is extremly expensive and heavy to run becuase of their bulky trains. also if they got an Intamin it would fit in more with the skyline. Also the 45 degree lift doesnt hurt in a park trying to conserve land and expand at the same time. And also Intamin has done very good mbuisness with Six Flags 0over the Years.

I want an Intamin giga with something MF is greatly missing, AIRTIME, if it has that i'll be one happy camper!

So why do you like CP so much???? Its clean WOW! our park is clean too. i only concentrate on coasters. I really dont care if its clean or not. That just gives another excuse to tell someone you didnt like the park."

Chill out dude!:) They're only amusement parks! Just because you only concentrate on coasters doesn't mean everyone else does. And because it isn't clean is a reason not to like a park, at least in my book. I'm just defending my turf here. I like CP, you like SFWOA, can't we all just get along?
Some need to be reminded great coasters do not make a great park. I was perfectly happy at a place like SFStL or BGW.

I definetly dont think it would be Morgan. Six Flags has had such good reviews from the otherr three (B&M Intamin and GIO). Maybe its just me though, I dont want to look at 320 ft Morgan with those Dodge Caravan trains.
Oh yeah, the Double Loop isn't going anywhere. Does anyone honestly think another major ride could be squeezed in where it currently sits? IMO none of the coasters will be removed.

I still firmly believe SFWoA will receive the next Giovanola Titan/Goliath clone. It's a gut feeling.

Oh, and you also forgot Gemini in the list of CP's good coasters.

Use the process of elimination-
Intamin-No, CP is 66 miles away
Giovanola-Possibly, but doesn't have giga under their belt
Morgan-Manufactured the tallest coaster in the world, ride gets rave reviews, and FWIH has tons of airtime

I am figuring it will be a B&M or a Gio. Really don't know which, it's basically a toss up.

Also, Superman, they already have a ride named Hurricane, it's the scrambler on the WL side. Too bad though, you got alot of people riled up with your RUMOR! Also, though I am clenching my teeth at some of those CP v.s. SFWoA posts, you are all entitled to your opinion.

One thing I'd like to say though is our park is far from cheesy. With the addition of SW the park's landscaping is going to look fantastic and the whole WL side is very relaxing and enjoyable, it's like the frontier town at CP, only much larger and alot more things to do.;)

If they wanted to name a coaster the Hurricane, would they let a scrambler stand in their way? I know IMO it's the best flat ride in a park, but I don't think that would stop them. Just MO. :)

Sorry, but it's called the Cyclone;)

also remember B&M called CP "crazy" for approaching them for a 300+ ft tall coaster

Really?
I'll take the collection of coasters at the Point anyday over SFWOA...

mikey
A lot of people are saying giga, but you heard it hear first there will be a stand up coaster there next year, but hey if they get both that would be even better.

SFwoa needs a change in management it seems before they will come close to being the park that CP is. Just from my experiences at the park... Granted they have a lot of room and $, but that's not all it takes to run a park. Just my two cents.

I know a little coaster that beats Millennium Force on my list (by a very slim margin) and a similar coaster would be a fabulous addition to SFWoA. It's name - Raging Bull. I don't think the park should get a giga. A mid-sized hyper would be enough to satsify me.

As far as operations go, this year has been much better than last year. I'm kind of getting tired of reading about the comparisons between the park and CP and I think we should just focus on enjoying what both parks have to offer their guests.

I can think of at least three hyper-style coasters that are a *little bit better* than Millie and anyof them would be good for SFWoA (RB, S:ROS, PR). Though in all honesty, I dont see SFWoA building a very large hyper (I refuse to use the term giga) as they have said that they are not planning coasters from the WL side and the WR side has a height restriction. I see them taking a year off and focusing on more general improvements (I'm still waiting for my bathroom by S:UE/X-Flight)

Coaster Collection wise, SFWoA is as good if not better than CP. Villain and BD are better than MS & BS; B:KF is better than Mantis, S:UE is every bit as thrilling as Millie and Maggie, and I'd much rather ride X-Flight than Raptor (though I know many wont agree with me).

Also, there is more "charm" to SFWoA, TO ME, than CP, though that may just be a function of the people I was there with. I've ranted enough.

They need to first stop running one trains on coasters on busy days(not to mention the closed coasters), maybe then they can compete with CP. Until then CP will always have the edge.
