Six Flags "themed" coasters

I was just wondering if you guys had a favorite themed six flags coaster (other than BM:TR)

For me it would have to be Viper @ SFoG. While it wasnt top notch it was very fitting. An excerpt from playride.com..................

The ride exited through the Swampwater Jack's shop which played off the theming found in the queue of a bayou swamp. A complete creek was built, an abandoned building, a small dock with boat, and opening year a burlap bag full of moving Viper snakes. The side of the station had a bayou mural and was topped with festive cajun Christmas lights.

And to add to this there were speakers around the area that played the sounds of crickets (spelling??) and night southren creatures. Another thing i liked about this ride is that it was always a walk on when i was there so the que actually felt as if you were on a trail to the backwoods of a georgia swamp.........

Whats your favorite!!

There are no bad coasters, only better coasters!!

I don't really have a favorite, but the ones I dig are The Chiller, Viper at Great Adventure and Superman at Magic Mountain.

Fate is the path of least resistance.

Viper at SFGAm is great too, love the snake effect (when it is working). Other then that, SFFT's Road Runner Express is well done, but the non mentionable (B:TR, specifically SFGAm) is still the best theming Ive seen at a SF park.

2022 Trips: WDW, Sea World San Diego & Orlando, CP, KI, BGW, Bay Beach, Canobie Lake, Universal Orlando

I'd say Road Runner Express mine train at Fiesta's the best I've seen in the chain on the actual ride and not just a queue. There's actual animatronics of Road Runner and Coyote.
I like raging bull's theme, even though it isn't very extensive, the wood cover in the queue is cool. Giant Drop is cool with the whole excavation scheme. Superman the escape was cool.

What snake scheme?

Flashback: Themed like a static metal sculpture ;)

Flashback's very modern art.
Viper @SFGA and Runaway Moutain @SFOT are both good. *** Edited 4/24/2004 3:57:07 PM UTC by Prodjbp***
Viper @ SFGAm is an excellent theme. I also liked Mr. Freeze @ SFStL. Maybe that was just the A/C on a very hot day. I'm looking forward to Road Runner Express @ Fiesta in June. :P

d8 - who still thinks DD @ IOA has the best theme!

Riddler's is the first that comes to mind.

I like Deja Vu's theme. Every time someone goes to the que entrance, there's a sign that says "Deja Vu is closed today." And every time, people think to themselves, "Wow, I swear I've seen that before somewhere..."

But then again, what do I know?

LOL! Nice :)

i like the chiller at gadv, and viper ay gadv.
Mr. Freeze and its cold station are nice. Don't try to eat the ice, its not real.

Down is the new up.
River King Mine Train at SFStL is my favorite.
I really like Riddler's Revenge as well... that techno music (Ecuador by Sash) is the COOLEST queue music i have ever heard. It gets stuck in my head all day.

Various mine rides and Freeze are well-themed, but Freeze to me is probably the best-themed coaster in the SF arsenal. I don't count B:TRs...;)

Also like Chiller, Viper at SFGAm, and some of the parks that do *really good* jobs at Halloween....where's THAT kind of theming year-round, anyway?

The park that wins my personal award for best-themed coasters...BGW.

edit: and that's even WITHOUT Nessie in her lair....BRING BACK NESSIE!

With Southwest Territory I still think the name Giant Drop does not fit well at all. IMO Mine Shaft would have been a better fit.

The Golden Rule - Try it once and if you don't like you don't have to go on again!
I hope you're not talking about SFStL's Mr. Freeze, because it has no outdoor theming whatsoever. I seems more like a forest feel to it. The inside queue has no theming either, other than the fact that it is cold. The only theming I see to the coaster is the station.
