I have no intention of buying a SF season pass this year (I haven't in 4) but if one showed up on my doorstep ready to be activated online with 0 hassle on my part?
I'd probably do it.
I'm dumbfounded that anybody wouldn't see the smart-ness in something like this.

IF people are not motivated enough to get their butts in gear and renew a Six Flags pass on line, or get out to the park to renew or buy their pass, might those same lazy folks (and I include myself in that number) renew by simply activating their new pass... but NOT actually use it that much?
Odd as it sounds... "Look what came in the mail? Hmmm... I wasn't going to renew... but... what the hell... may as well... I MIGHT get a chanct to use it this year..." and then by next September... "Hmmmm... never did get much use out of that pass." Yet Six Flags has your $$$$.
I think it is a great marketing move. Motivates those who procrastinate (me) or are on the fence ("do I want one or not?") to buy.
Still, I think it is a nice thing for them to do if it eliminates shipping charges on my end. *** Edited 3/29/2007 3:07:08 PM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

Long live the Big Bad Wolf
-No standing in line
-No shipping fees
-No processing fee
-Very good return on investment for Six Flags
WooHoo!
A day at the park is what you make it!
It helps people keep on buying one year after year. You think that you are getting more than other people. Thus, you will buy more.
I think that the company should just check if you bought one already or not. Otherwise, why send a season pass if you already got one for the next year? They called us up, and asked if we wanted a season pass. We already got one for 2007.
When it comes to Season pass Processing, Six Flags gets it right. They make if fairly easy for you to renew on-line or active your pass, which leads to more season pass sales. *** Edited 3/30/2007 1:58:31 AM UTC by carlo18***
For those who've done this before how does it work? After typing in your 14 didgit code<the bar code # on the pass on the SF website do you print out a reciept or something to show to the employee at the gate as proof that you've actually activated it?
It would be much easier if they simply allowed you to bring the pass to the park, then pay for it at the regular ticket window in order to activate it.I recieved mine the other day but havn't gone on the SFA page to pay for & activate it yet.
