Six Flags Ride Ops

It only takes 6:30 to get on Maggie, ride, get off, walk around and get back on again. I managed somewhere between 20 and 25 runs Friday night durring ERT. The most annoying thing about the Magnum queue is No gate at the bottom of the stairs, even if the line is on the platform you have to go around or under the last queue rail.

When I rode the Mean Streak about 20 times in one night, we had to get off every time, no re-rides allowed. The crew was still pretty awesome.
"You want to ride again?" they asked.
"Yeah!" we screamed.
"OK! All you have to do is exit to your left, walk around and get on again!"

Oh yea, I ment to say I proved the safety theory to be correct when I got an all day ride pass for Speed The Ride and they let me stay on, 5 mins after I left the place (After riding like 30+ times stright) I wasn't feeling too well. ;)

What pisses me off is those FRUITCAKES who slip into an empty seat after their ride is over, and nobody cares, or notices, and they get two or three rides. Especially if the line is long, or if one train is running. This is really only a big problem on 4-across coasters.
Six Flags allows re-rides. At least at SFGAm they do. I've gotten re-rides on viper, batman, demon, ect. This season, last season, the season before that, ect. I guess it just depends on the amount of people in the station.

I belive that the "general" policy for Six Flags is no-rerides, BUT that is negotiable. I have gotten re-rides @ SFA and just recently SFWoA. I have never gotten a re-ride @ CP even when I asked the Magnum ops early the day of CMania when they were dispatching half empty trains.

As for Paramount, I do not think they have anything against re-rides. First off (at least @ PKD) they do not use turnstyles to count riders. Instead the op in the control booth has a hand-held clicker and simply counts the number of riders as the train is dispatched. Therefore, there is no advantage or disadvantage in the park's eyes to people walking around or remaining seated. In fact re-rides = happier guests. It was so bad one time on hurler the lady just asked if anyone wanted off, no one did so she sent the train back around without ever even releasing the restraints.

It all depends on a variety of circumstances...

Concerning re-rides. Cp will allow re-rides if there is no line, which tends to happen early in the season. However, this is at the discretion of the ride op. If they would allow re-rides with people in line and on the platform, then the idea would spread and people would be trying to get back on when seats would actually be filled anyways. I know, in my ride op days I fell into that trap. As far as letting people re-ride when closing down: If we let people re-ride when the last train is getting ready to go out, the people on the last train for the first time have justification for asking to send them again. Not fair to them, and not fair to the ride ops who work long days (usually 10 hours +). It isn't a case of a ride op trying to be rude, they are just doing what they are told. Can't fault them for doing their jobs.
I have gotten numerous re-rides on Raptor, Magnum, Mantis and Power Tower. And guess what it was during: Millennium Mania Baby!!
you can only get rerides when you are the only people in line for a certain car or the only person near the ride.

We got re-rides on Shockwave and Batman multiple times on a very uncrowded day at SFOT. Shockwave six times!! although you do have to pick a middle seat if you wanna get that many re-rides.

Mr. Moe steady as she goes.
I got 5 re-rides on the Texas Giant a couple of weeks ago. It was on a Thursday at around 5:30 or so. The park was closing at 6 and there was a storm comming in. Not many people were left in the park and the ones who were, were trying to get in one last ride on Titan. Almost no one was on the Giant so we were allowed several re-rides up until they closed the ride for the day.

I've gotten rerides on SUE, Batman, Judge Roy Scream (a lot)... I think it really depends on whether or not the ride ops are strict or not. But I do think it's a different thing whether you simply stay in your seat, which doesn't cause too many problems usually, or get up and scrounge around for a seat.

I guess it depends on the operator.
I went to SFGAm on the 26th. For the first ride of the day, my friend and I went on Batman, then to Iron Wolf. We waited about 10 minutes for the front on Iron Wolf, got off, and saw only 3 rows (the first 3) with any passengers in them. We asked the op if we could get in the back. (The train wasn't closed or anything... No one was there.) And in a very evil tone, he said no.

last season at SFGAm after I got off Iron Wolf early in the morning, the ride op asked if my friend and I wanted to ride again in a different row. we also re-rode or saw people re-riding on American Eagle, Viper, Shockwave, and Demon.

this park is not copless so please don't go topless
I think it depends on the operator, the ride, and how many times they've seen you on that ride recently. I've gotten plenty of re-rides at Six Flags parks, and they've come over the PA and said "You may stay on if there's no one in line for your row." But sometimes they make you exit and come back through the queues, most likely to reduce the cumulative effects of G-forces. I rode the Shockwave at SFOT 6 times in a row once, exiting and re-entering through the queues each time, even though there was no line, and on the 6th ride, I blacked out in the loops. I was lucky they even let me ride it again, because after the 5th ride they were looking at me like they were concerned for some reason, no doubt because they knew that I'd be blacking out soon, if I kept on riding it so many times in such quick succession. Anyway, blacking out was cool, but it was pretty scary, because that had never happened to me before, and I didn't try to push my luck any further by getting in line again after that. I was certain that they wouldn't let me ride it anymore after that anyway, just by the way that they were looking at me before the ride that made me black out. It's amazing how attentive most ride ops are. It may seem like they hardly even notice you sometimes, but they're usually more aware of what's going on than you are! I'm glad that I got to black out though, just so I know what it's like, but I don't really want to black out on a ride again. It's too disorienting, and I imagine that it might be a possible cause of some of those notorius "brain bleeds" that we're hearing so much about these days, in some cases.

I agree, they need to fill up the train, and why not let us go twice, I went this past sat.and I did the same thing and they told me too leave.
I dont like that, If i owned a park I would alow people to do that.

I guess it does depend on the ops. I was just at SFOT and did the exact same thing as DAN-EL described. Titan's queue was full and The Giant's was empty. I got 4 rides including 3 in a row without getting out of my seat. (fantastic ride, BTW)

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
Its not fair to "eaveryone" whp is in your train.. if everyone had an ppurtunity to re-rid than everyone most likely would... but if there arn't seats to accomodate everyone the 2nd time around than nobody should be allowed to since its not fair to the other guests who cant re-ride.

...thats how I think of it
