I think in Cedar Fair's case you can chalk some of that up to normal adjustment. Dorney had two really outstanding years that I doubt will be representative of their typical numbers unless they start building 300 footers.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

Well, up here at VF, our numbers are up, up, up! We have been haveing many good days here, the main parking lot was even filled this wed. Every weekend this July the main lot has been full, and the rides have had full queues.

I'm scared to go into work tommorow at SFA. It's supposed to be really nice, and I'm sure it's going to be a madhouse. All those people who didn't come out in May and June because of the constant rain, will probably be all coming out of the woodwork this weekend.

If you have a problem with clones, the solution is real simple—Stop traveling.
Jeff, even though the park "blows" the parking lot has been filling up and the lines have been long. I have even personally witnessed the use of a q-bot in the lines of Villain and X-flight.

I personally like to go to parks on cooler days and dont really understand why everyone seems to want to go on the hottest days.

I think it has more to do with rain than hot/cool weather. The possibility of rainy weather increases the possibility that rides will close.

Personally, I can think of hundreds of other things to do on a rainy day other than walking around soaking wet in a park with the attractions closed.

I wonder if SF will do the same thing as last year as far as who gets the new rides. It doesn't really make sense to put rides into the parks that are performing well and ignore the ones that aren't. New major coasters draw people in. All properties need to be taken care of. I guess I would have to call SF:DL my home SF park. It appears to be down this year from last year. Nothing major was added this year and all they got last year was the Intamin shoots ride. The year before that (I believe) was the Twister(Top Spin)that not too many people were thrilled about. Plus everytime I talk to someone about the park they complain how poorly they think it's being run. Rude attendants, rides down, very high prices for merchandise. And this is coming from people who are not park enthusiasts. Just families going to the park for their annual visit. I can understand the weather impact but I think there's a little more too it.
