Six Flags Over Texas is getting an addition to its skyline with a ride that will be taller than anything else in the park, though park officials won't say anything about it. S&S Power Inc. of Logan, Utah, is building what it calls a tower complex -- a ride expected to be more than 320 feet tall that will launch passengers up or down at speeds of at least 60 mph. The attraction is expected to cost at least $10 million.

No, can't build an S&S tower in Alaska, it'll get ice in the steel in the offseason and fall over ;)
Sorry, just had to make a jab ... the less S&S the better in my book ... but just my opinion

Enigma's Revenge" at Warner Bros. Madrid is 360 feet !!!http://www.freizeitparks.de/wbmwm/2.jpg [/quote]
Sorry bud, but WBMW Madrid's Tower ride peaks out at 300' max, equivelant to Cedar Point's Power Tower. It is the tallest "Combo Ride" ride operation from S&S. The tallest is still the Knott's tower.

That is Knott's 325' S&S Turbo Drop. I'd love to see the SFoT top that! :) (We already know it exceeds SS in ride size, but not height, they wouldn't mention in the article).

I like SF,other parks might be better. But is it really my fault I live in texas?
So dropping is more thrilling then dropping?

Yea, I'm wondering about that myself seeing as how S&S towers launch you down while Intamin Gyro's only drop you.

Wow, I can't believe you're scared of drop rides! They just as good as coasters, IMO. SFNE also has a triple combo tower and it rocks.
My question is: What is the definition of a double shot? In other words, what is its ride sequence.

This past summer I rode my first S&S towers (Rocket at lagoon, Mailboomer, and Supreme Scream) they were all sweet. This should be no exeption.

Here's an interesting quote though regarding this ride:
Allen [S&S employee] would not say how many towers the new ride at Six Flags Over Texas would have. "It's unlike anything we've done before," Allen said. "We're just tickled to death to be able to do this."
Now, they've already built large drop towers in the 300 ft range, and reasonably tall combo towers. For this to be "unlike anything we've done before", might there be something extra going on here? Tilt-seats perhaps?
