Six Flags Ohio will announce the construction of X-Flight, a Vekoma Flying Dutchman model roller coaster, this afternoon in a press conference. The ride will be 115 feet tall and have 3,340 feet of track.
Read more from The Plain Dealer.
Also check The Sandusky Register.
I live in the Washington, Dc area and SiX Flags America is getting one as well. I saw the proposal to the park and planning commission. It is slightly higher than the OHIO one but this has themeing. Its being placed right next to the Superman and if you rode that this year there is a Batman symbol near the end of it. The name of the coaster BATWING.

Refreshinglook.com has a pic of the X-Flight logo on the front page now. It looks pretty sweet.
Wow, that is cool. Go SFO! I really like where this park is headed. Ohio is going to have three powerhouse parks. That's just unfair!!! ;)

Life consists of two kinds of people, those who accept, and those who sit back and cry...
I am trying very hard to get to SFO this year.
X-Flight is a cool name! i'm just glad they didnt call it the green lantern or something.
Getting away form the name I am wondering what the design would be like, a new element would be sweet!

I think X-Flight is a better name than just plain X.
I'm excited about the project... but at the same time wish they'd work toward some resolution of traffic/parking/crowding problems, not to mention train their people to move trains (especially with a tricky loading ride like this).

If there was any name that i wouldnt have guessed it was probably X-Flight. I seriously thought it would have been themed like a villian or superhero but i guess i thought wrong. This name is pretty cool, and i really like the color scheme that its going by. Cant wait to ride it.
I called up SFO today and the operator said that it would have a cople different elements than stealth, would have 3 trains, and would have two platforms. Congrats to SFO on their tenth coaster!

A green machine is rising at SFO!
I just read the six flags stock page and they said that when you get to the top of the hill youre going to go down at a 30 degree angle for a bit and then do a half twist right to the ground. They werent really that good at explaining what the hill looked like. They didnt say if it was going to do something like stealth hill or just go straight out, but i guess they wouldnt wanna spoil it for us just yet.

CP in 2002, get to the point
i think that x flight is a perfectly fine name. as long as the rumored wrestling theme for the coaster going to six flags great adventure doesn't come true, i am happy w. names!
what`s the adress for the SF stock page?
announcement took place at the Great Lakes Science Center, they showed an Omnimax movie
Zero-G: Yeah, they'll have three trains. But will they run all three? We'll see...
The name X Flight does not fit the colors of the ride. The logo (as seen on Refreshing Look), is silver and blue. Is the track any of those colors? No. I personally do not like the name, or the coaster :(
Chris
Getting footage of that would be awesome. Anyone attend?

I don't like the name, I thought it would be Return of The Riddler, or something like that. But as much as that coaster looks great, let's not forget it's the only one of it's kind on the east side of the Rockies. They really need to use 3 trains at all times and even then, the lines will be huge. Now, SFO will really take a bite out of CP and PKI's annual income.
Here's the official press release.

Well, the small poster for the ride on RefreshingLook.com shows basically the first part of Stealth, which is the best imo. It looks like the ride drops into the horseshoe, then turns over for the loop. Hopefully the ending of the ride will differ from Stealth. Darnit, and I chose to skip Ohio this year and opted for the east coast. Oh well, I'm sure riding "Nitro" at SFGadv will more than make up for missing this coaster. ;) Peace. :)
sweetness.
I think I will go the day after opening night like I usually do.
