Six Flags Ohio-A GOOD park

I have been to SFO 18 times this year. I love the park.
I have NEVER had a problem with an op or food service station. The only gripe I have is one train operation, or two train stacking. But, I mean, think about it. The park has FIVE awesome coasters. BKF, S:UE, Villain, Big Dipper, and Serial Thriller are some of the best coasters around. I mean, come on, not all parks have PERFECT ops. And the closures. Everyone complains about closures, but look at the ride that is closed. It usually isn't a major ride. Also, if a major ride is open, 9 times out of 10 it reopens sometime during the day.

My point, SFO is a great park. I love it.
I've only visited the park 2 times, but in both cases had a good time. (Before the 3 new coasters.)

I think however, with the recent threads, that you are about to hear a mouthful.
I LOVE SFO!!!!Was there once in June. The weather was good and it wasn't crowded. The Villian is one
kick *%% coaster![I am praying my home park will get one-there are rumors]I went looking forward to riding BNF and it was great!I like six Flags.I'm tired of it being trash canned.I am going to SFA this week for the first time(I was going to hit it last year on my way home from BGW,but it was TOO hot,I read the Joker had problems anyway),I hope I have a good time after I made this post.

When I went to Geauga Lake a couple of years ago I hated it. But going to SFO this year I loved it! I had a much better time here then I did at Cedar Point.
Uh OH! Positive things said about SFO? Here come the Six Flags bashers.
Uhhh . . . have you read the trip reports section lately?
Yes, I have read the TR section, thats why I posted this.
I've only been there once and had a good time. Although, the Big Dipper was down I enjoyed the three new rides. However, the ride ops were terrible to say the least. They stacked trains, they werent enthusiastic(sp), and I knew more about the rides they were operating than they did!

I think Mongoose posted this looking for a fight. If you like SFO, that's great, to each his own. However, out side of media day, where they were out to kiss up to us anyway, most of my other visits went a lot like the recent TR by CoasterKid's parents.

Poor kid might not ever get to go back.

The safety thing bothers me the most, because frankly I think someone will have to die before they ever get serious about it. The injuries this year have been extreme, yet the same old attitude remains in place. I know for a fact that the state inspectors have been called down there all season long.

And this business about a labor shortage is a total joke. Not only do I see well-staffed businesses in the area with teens, but throughout the course of the season I've seen more midway walkers than I have seen people on coaster crews. A friend of mine who works at another park got the PR tour, and was shocked to see slackers sitting around all over the place, doing nothing.

I won't get in to maintenance, capacity and operation, because I'm not that interested in wasting my breath over this park.

What a terrible shame that such great rides have to be at that park. Right now I'd sooner drive to SFDL or Kennywood than go back there.

It sounds like a lot of Six Flags Ohio's problems woul be solved if they look into better employee resource managers (aka as the people who hire the ride ops, lifeguards, cooks, etc.)

I've only had one problem with ride operators and that came at Adventureland, but that was on an employee reunion of sorts and they had a lot of silver haired people manning the rides.

You build it, I'll ride it
I was at the park on the 26th. All I can say is I will never go there on a Saturday again. What a waste of time and money.
I was there and one employee (smaller than me) had the nevere to make fun of us! It was really funny because we just made fun of him.
Despite how much crap I am hearing, I am still gonna go! I have a free ticket and a coupon, so I would like to join in on the stress and terrible operation!

DOWN WITH TRIM BRAKES!
Craig the Coaster Freak, Just make sure you go on a weekday.
I can't believe they have half the park closed...
what half of the park is closed?
are all the major thrill rides running?
Six Flags Ohio is my favorite park of all time. It even beats Cedar Point.

How come everyone always says bad stuff about it? It's common sense if you go on a weekend, it'll be crowded. It's ALWAYS like that at any park you visit! Duh!

Now, if you say you've had a bad time at SFO, it's really your fault. TRY and enjoy the day.

Jeff: Why do you always say bad stuff about SFO and the people that like that park? Goose and I really love this park too...

First off, if you like that park, that's your business, but I don't say "bad stuff" about the people who like it because frankly I don't even know them.

I say bad stuff about the park because someone will have to die there before they change the way they do things. Most every other park in the country was accident free even though despite serving millions more guests. It's a pointless argument to carry on; I'd rather talk about more positive experiences.

Do you think I like that several world-class rides are in a park 30 miles away that is run with complete disregard for safety, capacity and guest experience? I can't imagine what it would be like visiting this park and paying full admission to get in, or travelling a great distance to visit. Oh wait, I do know what's that like from reading one trip report after another that speaks of the insane franchise fast food prices, closed rides and disrespectful employees.

Amusement parks are not a religion, and I'll call it like I see it regardless of the park.

I have never had a problem with the staff at this park, but I do have a problem with the park because of the fact that they removed most of the flat rides, at really messed up traffic flow by blocking off that path btw the car ride and log flume. I know that very few people used that path, but I did so that I could avoid the bottleneck btw the log flume and ST.

I love the new rides, they are great, but this park is no longer a family park. It is a teenager and young adult park now. The only thing my mother will go on in that park now is the carousel because she is an acrophobe.

The park did some great things by adding all those coasters, but it shouldn't have been at the expense at all those flat rides.

OK-

Yesterday at Oktoberfest, EVERYONE looked happy.
If you don't like it... DON'T GO! If you say you hate it but keep going there you are just a hypocrite. Once again the ignorance in our society prevails and people attempt to ruin everyone's fun because they don't get their way. Once again, if you don't like it... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
