Six Flags Magic Mountain announced yesterday the construction of Scream, a 150-foot tall B&M floorless coaster that will feature that will feature the usual sequence of inversions. The ride will have about 4,000 feet of track.

Hmmm...It does sound like a mix between Medusa-E and Superman in Madrid.

Come on Get up...Before you make, me change my mind!
I'm not up on the series, but are the "Scream" movies a Warner Brothers property?
Potential theming / tie-in???

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone/B:TDK
I like the quote by Paul Reuben (spelling) that says that the Mt has every type of coaster out there. Really? When did they install an Intamin Rocket Coaster? I also like the S:TE comment that it's the only ride to go 100. Oh well, January is only a few weeks away ;)

I loved how Del Holland called the floorless "SFMM's missing link." If the link is no longer missing, the chain is complete, is it not?

I wonder if Paul Reuben gets paid to make statements like that. I'm not implying anything at all, seriously, I just wonder if they imberse him, or if getting his mag mentioned is payment enough.

Then shouldn't they have said that Viper has the tallest loop, not that its the tallest looping coaster? Maybe that's what they meant, but, geez.
Only an enthusiast who obsesses over stats, records and the such would even remotely care. It's irrelevant.

What have you gotten me into?
Not really because the GP doesn't give a crap. It's a coaster and it's new. SFMM could say it is the only floorless coaster in the world and some people would believe them.
If I a read an official document from Wal-Mart that says I can get a Coke for 98 cents, but its really 99, its not a big deal, but its still wrong on the official document. I'm not being an enthusiass here, I'm just calling 'em like I see 'em.

yeah, it sounds just like Medusa east to me...as for stats, yeah im not really all that bugged....i mean the GP certainly doesnt care...although that article was littered with exaggerations, lol:) but, regardless, this will most certainly be an excellent addition to SFMM's lineup....anything that is like Medusa East is going to be beautiful!!!
MikeMir, B:KF at SFWoA is, i believe, 162 feet, which would put it about 12 feet taller than "Scream!" and has a MUCH different layout than "Scream!" or the Medusa's...
and Mike, SFMM is not really a destination park like the Point is....outside of Cali, there are probably VERY few people outside the enthusiast community that would make a long distance trip to SFMM....so the public probably wont be all that upset about CP waiting to announce their attraction, given that they are 2000 miles apart. it doesnt make a difference as to what park announces their ride first, both coasters are going to be built and opened regardless of what "we as enthusiasts" think ;)
Tim....who, in the back of his mind, agrees with a statement I overheard from a friend who is a CP homer.."ya know, CP's newest coaster is probably one huge middle finger, pointed right straight at SFMM"....haha, remember that Rob? :)
