Six Flags joke in the new Onion

Thursday, June 6, 2002 7:08 AM

I'm not sure how many Onion readers we have here, but I'd wager there's a few.

Check out #3 on the "Least-Wanted Gift Certificates" STATshot.

"He's blazin' away like the stars in the universe.." A. Vega + M. Rev "Ghostrider"

Someday there will be something here.

Area Man Laughs at Onion Weekly

I saw that. The Onion is satire at its best.

He let the contents of the bottle do the thinking; can't shake the devil's hand and say you're only kidding.

On one of my loacal stations, every once and a while they have a short segment of The Onion Radio News. It's pretty funny.

Snoopy Rocks! On Ice opens on June 22nd

Think they'll let me drive the Zamboni machine?

I can't find it on the site, so I will type in an article I cut out the other day:

Disney's Cost-Cutting Measures:
-Pluto only getting dry dog food
-Robots in Hall Of Presidents reprogrammed to roam through the park mugging visitors between shows
-Suing self for copyright violation
-Holographic ghosts in Haunted Mansion replaced with janitor wearing vampire teeth
-CEO Michael Eisner's annual salary reduced from $60 skajillion to $54 skajillion
-Theme parks instituing a two-sweatshirt minimum
-Re-edited Peter Pan in which Peter urges children to mail in money to save Tinkerbell's life
-Wide-eyed childlike wonderment of Magic Kingdom reduced by 15 percent
-Exploring possible new revenue stream by permitting manufacture of select merchandise items based on certain Disney films
-Stealing the sorcerer's magic hat, creating more and more money until it spins out of control in a destructive whirlpool, providing a valuable lesson about greed

I love The Onion.
Bake 'em away toys.
