There are way too many downers on this site. Sure they could be doing something constructive istead of making little cartoons with mediocre drawings (which adds to the humor in the case of SP), but loosen up! If you didn't like it, no need to make others see your way. Non-narcotic sissy pansies. *** Edited 2/17/2004 9:50:06 PM UTC by TTDTom***

Same could be said for those who liked it to not try to convince those who didn't like it to think it was humorous...

Hell, I still wonder how that POS show "Kids in the Hall" is still on the air...

Eddie Izzard - best standup ever!

KITH is still on Comedy Central weekdays at 2pm.

My Mr. Show fix is covered by the DVD's.

I'm all set :)

The Mr. Show DVD's are great... I used to have HBO when they were originally on, but I now realize that I missed so many of them.

NewsRadio comes out on DVD next month. :)

Anyone remember HBO's HardCoreTV from about '91?

My all-time favorite sketch comedy show, though, was The State. Very KITH-esque.

Hi

I wish some people would just accept the fact that there are bad days and good days at parks. Unfortunately at most Six Flags parks , the bad days outnumber the good.
It must all depend on the attitude you have going into the park, Spaz. I can count on two hands (and still have four fingers left over) the number of bad visits I have had to SF parks in the past DECADE - and before you say SFGAm is better than the rest, I have been to SFStL, SFMM, SFoG, SFGAdv, SFWoA, SFMW, SFEG for a total of 19 visits...

You had 19 visits to those 7 different SF parks (if I read that correctly we're not including SFGAm) over a 10 year period and 6 were bad. That's 1 in 3.

I've has 10 visits to 6 different SF Parks (SFMM, SFOG, SFGAdv, SFWOA, SFNE, SFA) in the past 3 years and had three markedly bad experiences and once minor incident that I won't count. That's 1 in 3 too.

You should have better than a 66% chance of not having something 'bad' happen when you visit a Six Flags park.

Most companies who do satisfaction surveys would be firing someone if guest satisfaction was only 66%.

I think that was great! I like Six Flags, don't get me wrong. But after my experiences at SFWoA (Cleveland), they hit the nail on the head. 4 coasters down when I was there, (two of those never did open). Waiting for ages at one of the 8 food stands open in the whole park. Being treated like crap by the employees, and having to see one of the employees cuss her manager out was very impressive. To be honest, the only reason I will go back to a SF park is because of how well everything was run at Kentucky Kingdom last August. But hey...that's my opinion!
Wow, never saw that last comment coming - Go SFKK! ;)

OMG I have a new sig!!!
the 19 did not include my numerous and uncountable trips to SFGAm...In the past decade I had to have visited SFGAm at LEAST 40-50 times. which, if you take only 45 trips as a guesstimate for my GAm trips that increases my SF satisfaction rate to 89.3%. (and yes, three of those six were at GAm)

Plus if you want to get all statistical on me, out of my six trips to CF parks in the past 5 years, I felt dissatisfied on two visits (VF in 2003 and CP in 2002). That is a satisfaction rate of 66.7%.

OMG! Haha someone else actually remembers that show and used to watch it? I used to loooove that show back in the early-mid nineties. Definately one of the best sketch comedy shows. Didn't that cast later have a show on comedy central? It was the same cast and pretty much the same kinda gimic. I never watched it though
Anybody remember the Upright Citizen's Brigade? No? Okay, never mind.

Was The State the show with the skits with the "I wanna dip my balls in it" guy? I remember that and the "I'm Doouuuug. I'm outta heeeeere" skits. If not, just ignore me.

Redman - good point. Fair enough. But I was thinking of my other park visits and I can't think of another park or chain that comes close to 66% (where I visited a single park or various parks within the same chain 3 times or more)

What I do find weird is that both of our traveling SF trips land at around 66% and both of our most visited home park visits land right around 90%. I've done Dorney 36 times and had 3 bad - 91.6%

Not counting Dorney my CF percentage is 81.2% - 16 visits, 3 bad.

Now that I'm thinking about it the only park I've visited 3 times or more that gets 100% is Kennywood (15 visits - give or take - since I was 13). Even Universal Studios and Walt Disney World get 88% and 90% respectively.

I'm sure there's some psychology involved (familiarity with home park, etc) - but I don't buy into that "go in with an open mind" thing. Who doesn't go into a park expecting a fun day? The open mind arguement just seems like an excuse to turn a blind eye.

With that all said and the original topic being the parody cartoon of SFOG - I've enjoyed both of my visits to SFOG a lot. I'd call it one of the best in the chain.

But Gonchar, I have been - based on TRs - at the same park on the same day as some people on this board. They claim to have had a horrible day at the park while I had a good day. This has happened more than once... and the people who complained about their visit are ones who complain frequently about every park other than their homepark.

My "non-homepark" SF satisfaction rate is at approx. 83%... Gonch, you forgot to redo your math after I stated that 3 of the 6 bad visits were at GAm...

TTDTom....UCB was one of my favorite shows, for the SHORT time it was on the air...

And while science CANNOT explain spitty slurpy, the three *tidbits* I remember most clearly are a grain of rice with Mooshu (sp?) sauce, the nazi-ish health club community ("I need sour cream for my friend salad", "Are you hiding any fatties in there"), and the Cake-a-walk-a.....good times! :)

Lord G....from MY visits, SFGAm (only the one day) and SFoG get the highest marks in the chain, with SFStL right up there as well...I even found I was a little defensive that SFoG was "picked on".

Oh NOOOOO, I'm becoming a *fanboy*. Somebody get the antidote, and QUICK! ;)

Edit: One of my sigs a while back even gave props to the Upright Citizens' Brigade....shame not enough people appreciate insanity for what it is...:) *** Edited 2/19/2004 5:09:31 PM UTC by rollergator***
