Six Flags Great America

What is the best ride at Six Flags Great America? I personally believe that it is the Raging Bull.
Ding ding ding! Give that man a prize. I think Raging Bull is the bestest ride at SFGAm.

"Randomest topic ever."

Legendary, are you working at the Bull this year?? *** This post was edited by SFGA_FAN on 1/21/2001. ***
I sure am. Bull crew 4-ever! ;)

Hey Legendary, how long have you been working at the bull for??

Millennium Force all the way!
Since 1999. I was on the opening crew, then worked it last year as well. And now this year.

It's the best ride to work! Three trains means you have to keep moving, no slacking will do here. As for those other one-train coasters...I dunno 'bout them... ;)

I op'd Giant Drop in 1998 before Bull.

Hey dude, please back me up on this an prove people wrong that the Bull does 3 train operation on a consistent basis and you can handle it without stacking. I know you can and I want you to prove it to the doubters.

LOL, Bull does in fact run three trains everyday in the summer, and since I've been operating it (since opening year), it's consistently hit interval. Every so often there will be stacking due to special access passes (exit pass) or something else, but the crew can handle it quite well.

Average hourly capacity can range anywhere from 1,200 - 1,400pph depending on crew (with three trains).

FYI, during the 2000 season, I worked Sat - Tues all day, so you may have seen me up there. That's when Bull is operated the best, of course. ;)

Well, last year at Bull (yes, I oped it also) we ran with 3 trains most of the time, without stacking too much. As Joe said, however, it depends on the crew. I think the highest I counted was about 30 trains in a row without stacking once (with three train op). That is pretty darn good. But, don't get your hopes up everyone, next year Bull will have noticeably worse operations as the star crew member will be moving to the new Impulse coaster to speed things up!! :)

Clayton Hauck, launching you away at SFGAm in two thousand and fun!
Hey guys (Legendary and CoastingClay), thats the attitude I like to hear. The best thing that can happen at a park is to make the signature ride run at the best possible capacity. This ride is on the same pedestal as MF at CP so I want this ride to make people say, "OH MY GOD, THIS RIDE IS AWESOME AND THE PEEPS RUNNING IT ARE TOP NOTCH". Keep up the good work guys in the 2001 season. This is coming from a peep that worked at SFGAm back in 1987 and I want to feel proud that employees take pride in thier work at this park today.

After visiting Great America last summer, I do have to say that the Raging Bull crew was the best crew I had encountered the entire summer. They really got the trains moving and pumped up the riders during the evening rides.

That alone helped make my two days at Six Flags Great America the best and most memorable trip of 2000.

(Second place goes to the Millennium Force crew at CP).

X Factor, who will be returning to SFGAm this summer.

The Raging Bull Crew is great! Three train operation was the norm, except on slow days early and late in the season.

However, nothing beats a night ride on neighboring viper unless maybe it's a front row night ride on batman.

Hey slow down there, Bull didnt run three everyday this past summmer. One Sunday in early August I caught 2 train operation. Still the wait was bearable (1.5 hrs) but not quite as good as the day before that when the line was much longer. I didnt really care as I was with one of my best friends so the time passed quickly. Just adding an observation.

I was also at Raging Bull with Legendary and CoastingClay. 1999 and 2000. While I only worked on weekends I was still there.

Raging Bull rocks. Batman is fun, though no Raptor. Viper is fun too. But Raging Bull reigns.
Every ride there Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Legendary, did you know any Raging Bull or Southwest territory employee named Pete. He wore glasses, and was medium size. My friends and me made pretty good friends with him.

Hey man, thanks so much for the kind words! Hearing that we helped you have the best day of the summer makes working that hard worthwhile.

You mentioned during the evening we got the riders pumped up for their rides -- I *love* working at night! Everyone is usually in such a good mood, and night rides are truly the best time to ride coasters, so everyone is just having a great ol' time. That's when it's the easiest to get everyone to cheer and make some jokes, etc.

Again, thanks for the kind words and I hope to see you up at the Bull again this year, too!

Since you guys have first hand experince of Raging Bull, and I'm sure you sometimes work the gate, I hoped you could answer my question.

What is the average wait for Raging Bull in July and August? I ask, because I hope to go to SFGAm this year, and I want some insight on waiting times.
