Six Flags officials announced that the theme park would welcome its "most unique" and "most insane" coaster in its history in 2016. Total Mayhem – a 4-D, free-fly coaster – will lift riders straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill before flipping them head-over-heels at least six times along a weightless journey.

To continue the conversation in the other thread:
I want down to SFFT last weekend and wasn't super impressed with Batman. The capacity wasn't terrible (they can load 2 trains at a time for 16 riders per cycle) and since each op only has 8 seats to check (4 per side x 2 trains) the dispatches are pretty quick. It's not great, but it's not horrible.
I don't know why more X-style 4D's haven't popped up (programmed rotation)...maybe too expensive, but I can see why the ball coaster/freefly coasters aren't "the newest big thing." The ride length is short, the motion got repetitive even in the short amount of time, and the capacity isn't great. The only thing going for it is the small footprint and the (I assume) lower cost.

I'm just gonna leave that there. (bold is mine)
So SFMM got an Intamin Zacspin, but SFFT and now SFGrAdv have/is getting (S&S)+S launched 4D's. So is SF done with Intamin too?

I still say these aren't 4-D rides. The fourth dimension requires length, width, height, and "something else" (music, fire, bubbles, spinning, flipping). Since these rides are missing the width component, the spinning just adds a different THIRD dimension.
Or am I just being picky?
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
^^ So, which banned poster are you a reboot of? Just registered yesterday, 2 highly opinionated posts under your belt, and already figured out the signature on your profile.
Are you religious? Voting for Donald trump?
Seems suspect.
Edit: dammit Gator. You got in the way. I'm addressing Millennium XL
Back on topic, this seems like a big wasted opportunity for Gadv. They clear all that space....for this tiny third-rate coaster that fits better on a carnival midway. I'd almost prefer they announced nothing and just decided to clean up the place, do some landscaping, and remove all the concrete pads from rides long gone.

Gator is clearly a alt account of Tyler Boes.

I agree gator. In fact, you could almost make the argument that this is a 2D coast. While most coasters pitch up and down, turn left and right and roll (with a spinning axis making the 4th dimension), this one stays in the same plane with no twist in the track. All you have is pitch and a spinning axis.
In fact, since the pitch axis and the rotation axis are in the same direction, you could say that this is a 1D coaster! Maybe it doesn't exist at all!

Seeing as how there is no 4th dimension...

Seriously though, It was pretty easy to figure out from watching you guys for awhile and clicking on the "edit profile" link and using other forums.
Disk-os and super loops are my favorite coasters.

Time?

Time may be the fourth dimension, but there's also a fifth dimension...

Actually, Andy, the concept of a 4th dimension is there, but it isn't time (since a '4D' coaster is referring to spacial dimensions). Especially in this case.
There is a fifth dimension, sixth dimension, and beyond, from what I've recall about the subject, and we just can't comprehend it with our tiny little 3D (or 4D, depending on if you think time is the fourth) minds.
