Six Flags Great Adventure to get a B&M mega coaster

Posted | Contributed by coaster crazy

Six Flags Great Adventure has recieved shipments of parts from Bolliger & Mabillard. Photos of said parts were submitted to Thrillride's rumor page. They are at the bottom of the page.

I'm not against adding new rides. But why does it take an hour to get into a major park? It only took me 15 minutes at Cedar Point on a very busy day. That's wasted time I could be riding. At SFGA on a Tuesday the lines were so bad for everything that the major coasters (Medusa, GASM, and Batman the Ride) weren't even worth waiting for. I see things only getting much worse with a new major coaster. Comparably at CP I rode every coaster except one because it broke down. Since they added the waterpark traffic has become much worse than last year. SFGA also needs to focus on operation of it's current rides rather than adding more. Jumping Jack Flash, Evolution, and Chaos were all closed the day I went. Also can't they paint Rolling Thunder? It's the best coaster in your park. A park doesn't become decrepid because you don't add a new coaster every two years. Enjoy what you have:)
I think they need to tear down that raggedy old Rolling Thunder!!! They dont even run both trains like they used to years ago. As for the park being crowded, so what!!!! I've been to Cedar Point and had to wait in lines for about an hour!! I've been to Kings Island and Kings Dominion and had to wait in line for about an hour to get on some of their rides too. Let's face it, u just have to be patient and wait your turn. Sometimes what seems like hours really isn't as long as you think.
Hey, first time poster here...

And, I work at Six Flags Great Adventure, so I figured I'd give you some tidbits..

Rolling Thunder - May close, but still up for a memorial; Great Adventure just purchased 1,500 acres of land, and may build a non looping "steel twister"..

Great American Scream Machine - "Too much to keep going"; is a lie, it is rumored, that GASM is on marsh land and is sinking, just like a middle school in Jackson, NJ.. And cart malfunctions..

Revamping Of Mine Train - The Runaway Mine Train might get some new tweeks...

Liquid Coaster - This may be true, I haven't heard anything..

The New Hyper
The workers don't get told that much... Since I work on Medusa, I just stay in that area.. But, I heard a rumor going around that it might be inverted, to duel competiton with Batman, but I highly doubt that! Just putting in what I know..

ARE we loosing the Looping Starship?:(:(

I went to Six Flags this weekend and i asked the clerk in the store across the road from batman the ride what he he knew about the new coaster he said that he was told it is going to be the tallest rollercoaster in the united states. i beleive this because of the humongous supports in the employee parking lot. Also the store i went in is full of superman everything. The store even has a model of superman above the cash register this is what leads me to beleive B&M will be building the biggest coaster in the united states and it will be superman themed!!
You Fools! You call yourself Coaster Entusiasts? Anybody who knows anything about roller coasters would know instantly that a Mega coaster is any coaster above 200 ft.!! How could you not know that? A Tera coaster is anything above 400 ft. If you read the Intamin plate enscribed on their SROS trains, you would read INTAMIN MEGA COASTER. A Hyper coaster is the more popular name for 200 footers
