Word on the street is that they had the choice between Maure Söhne and B/M (think Hollywoood dream) to build a ride at that spot. Cost won, and now we have that POS that is HRRR.

Someone somewhere years ago (long enough so it doesn't matter, LOL) said that B&M was close enough in money to get the ride, but their time-frame to ride opening wasn't soon enough for Universal. Delays caused the ride to open on the B&M schedule anyway, but....

Speaking of HRRR...for me, there is a HUGE difference in ride from front to back of the train with only six rows. So much so, I'd rather wait an extra train or two than get stuck anywhere on the back end of the train. It is unpleasantly bouncy back there, and there's virtually no airtime outside of the first drop. Riding in the lead car, I get airtime at every block...and like the ride quite a bit. Especially with some of the hidden songs. But it is by NO means the ride Mummy is...

Aaahhh, the Mummy. I love the Mummy. Wish it was longer.
