Six Flags & their Vekoma SLCs.

If only they had the wheel assembly of the Invertigo's, they would rule.

Dude, you're getting an Intamin!
Oh, but they must...I've had some good rides on my local SLC.

Vekoma!

The only good SLC is a dead one! ;)

(after riding Worlds of Adventure's Serial Thriller) omg ouch

Good one I-Fan,for some reason the invertigo wheel assembly makes for a much smoother ride than the SLC,what they should do however is just re-design the track with the rails on the outside & then just get B&M to build new trains for them.

Of course this idea would be far to expensive & impractical to try at this point in time but it's still not a bad idea,I prefer KraXLeRidAh's idea of just trashing the SLC's all together.

"Come on guys we're talking about Six Flags here, the same company that says on their website X-Flight at WoA has 8 inversions!"

Ummm....Paramount, which built the first Vekoma Flying Dutchman, Stealth, was the first to claim 8 inversions on that model, not Six Flags.

For the record, the 8 are counted like this: 1] flip at top of lift, 2] overbanked horseshoe turn, 3] flip before loop, 4] loop, 5] flip after loop, 6] flip before corks, 7 & 8] corks.

As someone who has worked in the advertising, marketing, and promotion field for many, many years I don't understand why so many of you get so upset over exaggeration and hyperbole. All companies do it to create hype. Its not something getting worked up over.

You won't really be too concerned with head banging if your restraint fails to stay locked during the ride,so far on SFA's Mind eraser I've had to deal with the restraint opening up on me three times now & on both trains.

Yah right.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who "gets" it.

SFWoA's SLC did not bang my head at all, and even if it did, it has these GIGANTIC retraint pads that are VERY cushy. I love SFWoA's SLC. (With 7 or 5 inversions )

I totally agree! I have ridden ST about 20 times in a row when the weather is bad. It is a totally different ride in the front seat. To me it doesn't matter how many inversions it has. I like it however many people says it has.

Why don't they count the flip after the corks? Isn't that also a true inversion, taking the count up to 9? And what is an inversion on a flying coaster, because you start on your back? Inverted as being 135 from the flying position? Can someone please explain.

The invertion list Mamoosh said is for Stealth, and Stealth has no flip after the corks. However, X-flight has a flip after the inline twists and helix, while it dosen't have a flip right before the inline twists, in which Stealth dose have a flip before the corkscrews.

X-Flight/Batwing inversion list: 1] flip at top of lift, 2] overbanked horseshoe turn, 3] flip before loop, 4] loop, 5] flip after loop, 6 & 7] inline twists 8] flip after helix

I enjoy 3 things in life, coasters, video games and girls. To have all 3 at the same time will be a dream come ture!

Actualy the reason sfwoa says that Serial Thriller has 7 inversions because they were supposed to get a customized 7 inversion SLC.

There's nothing wrong with the layouts of the Vekoma Suspended Loopers. They're simple as most coasters. I wouldn't mind having a SLC (Penguin's Revenge) in my Theme Park (Six Flags Over California).

On the VFD's you would count the horseshoe as two inversions.

It would be counted in much the same way as a cobra roll, you have the entrance to the element followed by the exit,so the refined list goes like this: 1 flip at top of lift, 2 entrance to horseshoe, 3 exit of horseshoe, 4 flip before loop, 5 vertical loop, 6flip after loop over lift, 7 zero-G roll 1, 8 zero -G roll 2, 9 flip onto final brake run.

Dude, you should work in marketing. You took something that many wouldn't consider an inversion at all and made it two! Bravo!

1. Flip after lift.

2/3.Overbanked Horseshoe (Entrance/Exit)

4.Flipping Horseshoe

5.Loop

6.Flipping Horseshoe

7.Zero G Roll #1 Entrance

8.Zero G Roll #1 Exit

9.Zero G Roll #2 Entrance

10.Zero G Roll #2 Exit

11. Flip After Helix
