Boblo? You are going? Really? Cool! Now, I have to cancel my show so we can meet. Then again, if you are flying into Seattle, you can catch us Friday (special for the CACers) at the Central. :)

I think Silverwood is one of best parks in the Pacific Northwest. Timber Terror is my #2 coaster, second only to the PNE Coaster.

Meet me at the PNE in 2003. Happy 45th birthday,Coaster!

Well, Before comparing one coaster to another, Don't you have to ride both first? Also don't you have to ride each at their best?

I know people that have ridden the coasters at both Holiday World and Silverwood and well lets say there is a tendancy to lend the favortie to which park is closer to them.

One thing that remains solid is that Both parks have two top running woodies and from what I hear, Silverwood may soon have FOUR a RACER!

Chuck, who knows they have plans but think they are waiting for the economy to pick up.

Hey Chuck. I for one have ridden all 4 woodies. I rode Raven/Legend at SRM, so I'm assuming they were running at their best. I loved both of them and especially Raven. However, I think Tremors and Timber Terror are both better than either of HW's. I generally tend to like coasters more the more I ride them, so that has something to do with it. Timber Terror has more airtime than any other coaster I've ridden. I love Tremors because of the tremendous variety of elements, mixing twister elements with out-and-back elements. Plus the first drop underground and up the floor of the gift shop is the clincher. The other thing that sets TT and Tremors above Raven and Legend is that I have never had a bad ride on either of Silverwood's. I found Legend to be fairly weak in the middle of the train and there is only 1 major spot of airtime on the ride (double up). Raven is amazing and has a ton of airtime, but I had a couple of rides that were not nearly as good as the rest. I still love all four, but for me Silverwood's dynamic duo is a little more dynamic.

Overall, Holiday World is a little better of a park with a much more rounded group of rides (S&S tower, better kiddie section, etc). Like you said though, they are both great parks. 2 of my favorites. I really, REALLY hope Silverwood does add the racing woodie. It is supposed to be an out-and-back racer, but I would be alright with something like Lightning Racer. Peace,

Aaron

Is there any schedule for events around CAC this year? CPG? My vacation time starts on the Friday so I'll probably be flying that day. Seattle or Spokane?

Mike - the only official event if CAC itself, on Aug 23rd. Most of those attending will probably also visit Enchanted Village, Fun Forest, and Vancouver's Playland over an extended weekend, but it's up to each person to make thier own plans and travel arrangements.

Check yer email.

If you come to Seattle on Friday night, you can see Ethyl in person. :)

Then, come Monday, I can watch you try and ride Coaster hands free in the last car.
