Shockwave

This might sound like a stupid question, but what is GASM?

lose one coaster, lose all coasters, than you will lose yourself

That is true.. great escape only has one coaster in the park that isnt used but I think SW should go to Frontier City.

------------------
Coaster count:32
top3 wood:Boulder Dash, Wildcat, Thunderhawk
top3 steel: Steel Force, Nitro, S:ROS@ SFNE

GASM is Great American Scream Machine at SFGAdv, an almost identical if not identical clone of Shockwave.

Things to do in the offseason:
1. Have fun with friends 2. Ski in the great outdoors 3. Not sit in front of the computer for hours obsessing about coasters

Monto58....Great American Scream Machine. There are two, the one at GAdv is a steel version of Shockwave, and the one at SFoG is a *wonderful* dogleg out-n-back woodie.

I thought of the *other* GASM in Georgia, Gator, but in the context of this thread I felt only the one in New Jersey was worth mentioning.

True enough, but I was the one who used Jeremy's abbreviation of GASM-II, so I was the one who felt compelled to mention both...;)
Oddly enough, Great American Scream Machine, the very ride that allegedly killed Shockwave's hope of being moved, is an IMPROVED version of that ride.

One of the major problems with Shockwave is the left turn into the brakes. It is made worse because the loop exit(three, I believe) is on the left side of the loop. If it were on the right side (as they redesigned it to be on GASM), it would have given them a dozen extra feet or so to iron out the curve.

Apparently it hasn't happened. Astroworld fans - this is a victory for you guys. Maybe you'll get something new and not another rehash. Keep those fingers crossed. :)

I agree with flyingmonkeyking. Frontier City (Premier Parks' main office is located here) needs the Shock Wave more than anything. And seeing as they tend to only build old used coasters, it would be perfect for them. C'mon everybody! Shock Wave to Frontier city!

I will let you know when I have decided where Shock and/or Wave will go....it's still up in the air for now, luckily I'll get to see a few new-to-me/new-to-the-chain SF parks this year, and when the nominees are all in, I'll let ya know...;)
Maybe it's going to Six Flags fiesta Texas. I mean they did clear out a huge spot where the Jokers Revenge (now Jester) was. It looks like they're getting ready to put something in, and it's about the right size for it. hmm...

Shockwave is far too big to fit in the old Joker's Revenge spot.

I got a great idea where Shock Wave should go! SFGAm where it belongs! ;-)

The Demon He's gonna getchya!

Hey, maybe Six Flags is going to refurbish it with lapbar trains!

LOL! Riiiiiight ;-)

Yes, SFGAMNUT9302, I hope it rots at SFGAm.

Whats red yellow and blue at SFGAm...???

Let's toss Shockwave in the ocean.

Riding the Bull anywhere but the back is merely going for a walk.
If it floats, maybe it will float up the Connecticut River to Six Flags New England.
Arrow's "floating coaster" prototype eh?.... here we go again!
