Shockwave

Since the destruction of the Shockwave they have built Superman Ultimate Flight. Do you happen to know what they did with Shockwave? Are they selling it to another park or just puttin it in the junkyard? Thanks!

Its still at SFGAM in the parking lot. They are going to store it there until they decide where they are going to install it for hopefully next year. They removed Shockwave with the intent of installing it at another Six Flags park so keep your fingers crossed that we will see at another Six Flags park next year.

So you mean they might even put it back up at sf gam??

Its a used ride, so it'll probably be dumped at SFAW. But other parks it might go to are SFNO, SFNE, SFEG, SFMW, SFFT, or any other park that doesn't have an Arrow looper.

Sorry man that isn't going to happen unfotounately :( The best we can hope for is that it gets sent to another park.

Yea, I'm guessing that SFAW or SFKK will be seeing more of it. Other canidantes(sp?) would be SFNO/SFEG/SFDL... Who knows though.

Its still possible it could end up back at SFGAM, maybe even big chiefs

If you haven't rode Raging Bull in the back row you haven't lived. The feeling on that first drop cannot be explained in words!

Doesn't sf gam have room for it? I wish they would not have had to deconstruct that ride!

While I loved Shockwave and all, why the hell would they take it down to just put it up a year or two later?
I have no idea...but I wish they would~!!

Blink3020, I can't of any place where Shockwave could fit in SFKK.

There is no way Shockwave would fit into SFAW, SFEG, or SFMW. On top of that, SFMW cannot build over 150 feet so it wouldn't work.

We're back...

Why can't they build over 150! That would really stink!

I wish it would come back to SFGAm, but thats never gonna happen. I think it was stupid remove Shock Wave. IMHO it destroyed a major part of the sky line and it was a fun ride filled with lots of good memories. S:UF will be great, but it just can't replace what was lost, imo...

Yes.. I understand what you are saying but a flying coaster is A LOT better!

Come on, people, use some common sense! Shockwave will not be appearing at any of the following parks:
SFGAm (you don't tear down a ride just to build it again)
SFNE (I think B:DK works just fine there)
SFMW (space and height issues)
SFAW (space, and they don't want it)
SFKK (space)
SFEG (space)
Big Chief (space)

Do we see a trend here? Shockwave was a *huge* ride with an extremely awkward footprint. Honestly, the only SF park I could see getting it is SFNO, but why would anyone want it??

SFNO really doesn't need it, considering that they have Jester. One rough corkscrew coaster is enough for one park.

Maybe we should just wait and see since NONE of us have any clue as to what will happen.

I know what park will get it! An industrial park! Or a car park! Or a smash-stuff-with-hammers-to-pay-it-back-for-smashing-you park!

SFMW can't build over 150ft because of regulations. Thats why they haveVerti-I mean Diagnol Velocity's spike like that.
