Shaggy's dark ride quote quiz....

Monday, April 5, 2004 4:25 PM
Ok, I have to admit.... dark rides/heavily themed attractions are quickly becoming of major interest to me. I have been fortunate enough to experience quite a few over the years. So I thought I'd throw together this little trivia challenge.

I have listed 10 quotes from popular... and my favorite... dark rides across the country. Can you guess what rides they are from? Here's a hint... not necessarily all of them are still operating...

Here goes:

1. "Time to be turning around..... if only you could!" "If you've finally found your laughing place, how come you're not laughing?" "So you are looking for a laughing place eh? We'll show you a laughing place!"

2. "You're making a big mistake!"

3. "Lethssssss bounce!"

4. "Like, get those fright lights ready!"

5. "When hinges creek in doorless chambers, and strange and frightening sounds echo though the halls. Whenever candlights flicker, or the air is deathly still..."

6. "This could be the most dangerous night of my life... and yours... be careful!"..."Well, so much for being careful!"

7. "Who's out there?" "No one's allowed backstage." "Backstage is for performers only!"

8. "You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension. A dimension of sound. A dimension of sight. A dimension of mind. Your moving into a land of both shadow and substance."

9. "Don't be frightened child, they're only humans!"

10. "We want the redhead!" "We want the redhead!"

I'll post answers tomorrow 4/6. Good luck!

The ones I was *unsure of* were 2, 5, and 9....I don't KNOW #3, but that sure sounds like Gropey....er, ummm, Tigger. ;)

Andy - BGW is about about 15-20 miles inland. As for what's east of it, oh....just the whole eastern seaboard.
