Just kidding. I went there last year for a Sunday in the beginning of June and no one was there. I don't have attendance figures here, but the joke was waiting for me to smack it anyway.

I'm not stubbern; it's just that I've lost trust in WoA and the service provided.
I respect those with opposing views-Good for you. It must have been hard to accept the park back into your lives after all of the problems.

I think this shows Six Flags is learning that it really is all about customer service, and is doing things besides plopping down coasters in parking lots. They are investing in our total park experience in many ways.

Secondly, our new Rides Manager is another one those guys who likes to have every train on every ride running all the time. He worked at Cedar Point for a number of seasons and is trying his hand at running all the rides this summer. Already we (the employees) have been told about changes for this summer that may seem basic, but in fact are new to Six Flags, like having an employee at the entrance checking heights for every major ride. Your negative attitude is unwaranted, and in fact, just makes you look stupid. I care about the park, and my employeers know that. That's why I was promoted this season, along with other coaster enthusiasts here on the boards. Get with the program man, Six Flags bashing is old!

Aside from B:KF, which is one of the only reasons to visit SFWoA, I found the wildlife side of the park to be much better than the rides side. I think it is truly sad when an enthusiast finds the wildlife side of a park better than the rides side.
I'll take back the old Geauga Lake any day over the Six Flags operation. Their only worthwile improvements in my book are B:KF and S:UE, which I don't need to ride anymore thanks to Wicked Twister.
And now, the thing that pissed me off the most:
On the final weekend of operation, I drove down to SFWoA with a fraternity brother, to get in a night of some rides. To my surprize (ok, it wasn't that surprizing considering it was Six Flags), the lights were all off, and there was nobody there at the front gate. Looking closer, there were tiny paper signs posted saying the park was closed, but that didn't help much since I wanted to know why the park was closed when the website said it would be open. I had to drive around the perimiter of the park to the wildlife side to actually find a human being, as I wanted to know why the park was closed. The next day, I complained, and said that a Cedar Fair park wouldn't act like that. They didn't even listen to what I said, and said something like "We aren't Cedar Point." They assumed I was talking about Cedar Point when I was commenting about a chain.
I found the customer service to be pretty bad last year at SFWoA, with one of the only upsides being that you could enter the park free in the last hour that it was open every night.
Please excuse me for bashing SFWoA, but I find thier poor level of service and their terrible operations to unacceptable for a park that claims its better than the best park on Earth.

I guess that is one upside to the park. Also, Tiger Island was really cool. I just think its sad that the rides side is worse then the wildlife side (IMO). Hopefully the customer service will improve, as you said, and it will be a park worth going to again. The one thing that would have made me much more likely to buy a season pass this year didn't get built.
I was hoping for an Intamin hyper. That should bring me back!

Wow, that was the most thought provoking post I've seen all year. Outstanding. Top notch.
Yeah, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if a serious drop in attendance didn't have something to do with that. I spent half a day there last year on a former employee's free tickets, and that was enough for me. Despite being a near ghost town, X-Flight had about an hour wait with one train, and Batman was pushing 30 minutes with one train as well.
Seeing as how capital investment hasn't produced the numbers they hoped for, you'd think that they'd look a little harder at themeselves. While having CP in the same market I'm sure makes some difference, they shouldn't be failing as miserably as they are.
