Sfwoa Hyper Location..?

I know that the new hyper coming next year will have its station on the wild life side. But I was wondering where on the wild life side. I've heard of 2 spots but don't know which to believe.

One would be where the station is somewhere around the greenish aqaurium and the turnaround would be somewhere in the area of the batman water-ski show.

The other location I've heard is that the station would be behind the batman water-ski show. Then the turnaround would be somewhere behind the shark encounter.

Tell me if you've heard anything about the location of this. Oh ya, and does anyone know if it will go anywhere behind Raging Wolf Bobs on that back pathway, or even for that matter, anywhere onto the Rides side of the park. Thanks if you can help.

As was reported in the Cleveland Plain Dealer when the deal between SFWoA and Bainbridge Township was made.

The station will be by the aquarium (green roofed building). The lift will rise behind the Batman stadium. The turnaround, which will be the closest to the residential area (now the NO RIDE ZONE), will be 60 feet high.

My inside sources say that the Happy Harbor play structure is history after this year to make room for the new ride and any nearby attractions will be relocated as need be.

any rumours on the manufacturer?

Oh man, I liked the Happy Harbor thing. It was fun to just climb around in the nets. Oh well, the hyper would definately make up for it if that is true.

I heard a rumor from I think it was Screamscape, but they said that some inside Sfwoa employees went to Sfne to ride S:ros there. So now many people think it could be a clone of the Sfne hyper. Just a rumor but that would be sweet if it was true because then Sfwoa would really gain some ground on Cp noting that a lot of people like the Sfne S:ros better than Mf.

I don't think they should clone S:ros because its unique but they can make it even better by adding elements that S:ros don't include.

It is definitely not a clone, in this photo from the Metro Diary, it clearly shows the height and the layout. It is also states its an original design from the park. So lets not start this whole clone thing over again, cause its not gonna happen.

Don't know yet but I think and hope it's Intamin. The only thing that can beat an Intamin (Mf) is an Intamin.

I'm wondering, do you think that they'll make a tunnel on the first hill to heighten the drop a little bit. I think that would be awesome, but I don't know if Sfwoa would do that. None of their coasters have tunnels. Oh wait, sorry, forgot about The Double Loop, lol.

Then, what's with the marked trees behind B: KF on the boardwalk. A ton of trees have the ribbons doomed for the lumber yard. Will the coaster head next to RWB on the south side?

There's nothing like a woodie...

intamin doesnt do out and backs usually...and that layouts is clearly gonna be an out and back..i wouldnt doubt a chance-morgan for a minutes with that propsed ride area....

Woody,

Those trees have something to due with the new attraction being constructed that hasn't got any attention at all so far. It's going to be called Base Camp Zebra. I tried to find the article on this site but I can't. I guess it'll just be a bunch of zebras. You can see some construction pics at the bottom of this home page:

Back to the hyper, whatever it is it'll be awesome. I still am hoping for an Intamin though because that's the only way they will create competition with Cedar Point.

It's a Morgan hyper(which it has been for months in planning) and the station will be over by the aquarium. Now please don't start that stuff about how a Morgan isn't going to beat out Millenium Force. This isn't being built to out run the Force.

Intamin designs coaster for parks when they are paid to do it. Hence, They would design an out and back if requested.

They did not design MF and then sell it to CP. And... MF is almost an out and back anyway, It is just so freakin' huge.

a nice simple out and back design there, so maybe a B&M machine?

I'd be happy with that too. I rode Apollo's Chariot last year and I was really suprised with it. Honestly I hope that it isn't chance-morgan because I rode Steel Force last year thinking it was going to be as good as Magnum. It wasn't at all. That is one of the most overrated coasters I have been on. I think this year or next we'll go to Kennywood again so we can ride Phantoms Revenge. We always try to go there about every other year. Before I ride Phantom's though, I honestly hope for a B&M or Intamin. Actually I don't even know if I would consider riding Phantom's Revenge contributing to my opinion because it's not an out and back..haha.

Don't say you dont want the Morgan until you try Steel Eel, that would be something that would have you guys jumping out of your seats.

Actually the Base Camp Zebra attraction is being built across from where those trees are marked behind the Bounty swinging ship.

On my own personal list I find Raging Bull to be better than Millennium Force by just a hair. So you don't need to have an Intamin to beat out an Intamin. I'll be checking out Apollo's Chariot on Monday and Tuesday to see how that stacks up against the Force.

For those who don't want a clone of SFNE's SROS won't have to worry. With the new coaster practically along the lake and if you add in other factors, a full clone won't fit. It should be a custom or slightly altered layout.

Just as long as it's not like SFDL's Superman. I didn't care for that ride too much.

If Morgan can design an ejector butt slamming air like they got on Phantom's Revenge...I'll take thier coaster any day!!! Phantom's Revenge is AWESOME and the only thing that could make it better is if it would be longer...hence SFWoA :) I wonder if Morgan would use their new restraint system they have been working on?

PS- Zebras are cool!
