SFWoA Fastline SUCKS

While looking at the balance of things, having FL/FP users use middle rows seems fair, the way many stations are layed-out would prevent this.

A need for a full separate line system in the station would need to be implemented.

A main reason for front/rear access is the access to the on/off points of the structure.

IE, when we used the X-flight FL access at SFWOA it was for the end row due to the exit ramp, and then they had put-up a temporary 4 foot moveable fence/structure to block-off that row, and that row only.

When there were not 4 people to use the FL row, operators had been telling the others to go ahead and fill-in that row.

There also didn't appear to be all that many FL cards/passes sold in a day.

The FL cards have that day on it, have an 8 PM finish time on it, and we had gotten ours in the a.m., and a few hours later, they were sold-out, of what appeared to be a small total number of them.

This is going to be tested throughout the SF chain, and something will be settled-on.

Now, the possibility that there will be differences in different regions remains a distinct possibility.

Six Flags is looking to the bottom line here folks.

Whether that be targeting a specific group. Looking to maximize the hours spent by a specific group not being in lines, thus spending more on food/games/clothing.

There are always many more variables involved in business plans than what it looks like.

Somebody at Six Flags could have very well run a forecast which showed who might use FL, and how much more money they might spend, if they were not in line for X number of hours.

You know what, that is what happened with our family.

We most defin. spent more money that day, with the extra time spent as a family on food and shopping.

I have no idea if that is one of the things they are looking at in the equation, but there are way too many variables people outside of the loop are unaware of.
I think this is good for us. Pay the 10 bucks! I know I am if I go to SFWoA this year. If you use this system you can proboally ride very ride at least 2 times in a day. I haven't used this system yet but it sounds like it's worth the money.

They should not be allowed to use the very front front seat of the very last seat in a train."

The arguement as it relates to FASTPASSES is not without merit. But to limit handicapped folks as well is stupid. Not only do these folks fight an uphill battle everyday, but now *YOU* in your infinite wisdom (note extreme sarcasm) decree that they should not be allowed to ride in the front or the back. There is a word I usually use for people like you; the vulgar form of anus.

It is apparent to me that you have no handicapped friends/family. And if you do, I heap further shame upon you.

Define handicapped? They guy that kept cutting infront of me had a bandage on his foot and was on crutches. How many friends does he need to help him to the exit? He had three people with him on Batman - this was taking the piss!

If someone has been in a wheelchair all their life, or will be in one for the rest of the life, then fair enough. However, if someone has alittle injury for a few weeks or months, then they should come back when they are better and let their leg or foot heal properly, instead of abusing the system and using it as a means of getting all their buddies on the rides without queuing!

Funny how people are look doctors, Its nice to know your qualified to make judgment on someone who has crutches and a bandage. I have a handicap, I was injured 9 years ago in a parachute accident my first chute did not open by the time my reserve was opened I was 200 feet from earth. I hit the ground with a half opened chute, the injuries I recieved was I broke nearly every bone on my left side including my leg that was demolished. After 14 surgerys I can walk again yet I continue to use crutches or my cane every once and a while just for balance. So please don't judge a book by its cover(I dont look handicaped but Iam). As for the company with the handicapped person do you ride with your family when you go maybe they like going as a family.

A little "hostle", are we not?

Didn't I just say I wasn't prejudice against any handicap? Try reading the whole post I made before jumping down my back, instead of taking a key statement from what I said and taking it WAY out of context like most of the time you do!!!!!

At the very least (and this is getting a little off topic), the handicap for all the rides allowed to ride should not be given the special privlige of front/front or back/back multiple times on the same ride (throughout the day) when they don't have to wait at all. It's unfair to those who had to endure 2 hours of the scortching sun or sweltering humidity.

I don't mind once, AND if they are legitimately handicap, but if you spot them again (coincidentally, mind you) the next time you are waiting for the front seat... and they make you wait again for an extra 5 minutes... it gets a little irritating, because the wait is long enough as is for you, and this just irks you more-so!

Greg,

Does this mean I should bring an extra $10 tomorrow to buy a Fastlane pass?

I too don't have a problem with the fastpass system if the riders are restricted to seats in the middle of the train. I do have a problem with spending more money for the priveledge to do it, especially when you don't have to at other parks including Six Flags parks.

As far as handicapped people go, this shouldn't even be an issue. I can't believe it was brought up in the first place and people are actually argueing over it. Get over it already.

Christ how do you kids do it
SFGAm has the exact same system. While I agree that is sucks, nobody has said a word about Great America's! And you only get 4 rides for 10 bucks there. At WoA you get 5!

DB: If you think I take things out of context often, then that is something that you have to come to grips with in your own head. And you're right, I didnt read your entire response. After I saw that first silliness, I didnt see a need to go further. I never imagined that you would contradict yourself in the the very same post. I make no apologies for my words.

Second, if you knew anything about me, you would know that I wouldnt bat an eye at being "bumped" and *forced* to wait extra time. Even when I was @ KennyWood on *extremely limited* time, I didnt trip when a handicapped dude got on the front seat of Phantom's Revenge while I was waiting in the long single train op line. The only effect it had on me was I was happy to see this retarded man having a blast just like me.

And BTW "Hostyl" isnt just my nick, it's my nature ;)

I say let the consumer decide if this is going to survive or not. Recently General Cinema canceled their "Premier Cinema" program at my local cineplex. For $17, you could go to an adults only movie theatre with loveseats and upscale food. As for all the handicap comments, you people have absolutely no compassion. It's people who make comments like "just because they're handicap, they get on before us" that really make me angry. Be thankful if you're in good health and keep quiet. One day that could be you.

LOL ! now I can get on mind eraser and serial thriller faster.... ha ! like anyone would really want that! IMO. Villain , batman, rwb the lines move pretty good already...When the mechanical problems are fixed on X-flight ...I'm sure the wait time will decrease also. S:ue ...well line time cant be helped...it the nature of the coaster. But I can see on busy days ALOT of customers buying this fast pass and those lines will be just as bad. I mean look what it did for Millennium force.
Batman and Double Loop do not have fastlane, just FYI.
