SFOT in Spy Kids 2

I just got the Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams DVD (released today, 2/18/03) and the first scene of the movie(about 8 minutes long) is filmed at Six Flags Over Texas and there is a 2 and a half minute behind-the-scenes montage at the park as well. You can see most of Titan, Mr. Freeze, and Batman The Ride pretty clearly and there are a couple glimpses of Shockwave and Flashback too. Thought you guys might like to know! :)

We know. There was a topic on this during the summer.

It looks like a giant... Aw, who cares. It's 420 ft. tall!!!

You knew about the behind the scenes montage as well? I didn't know, so "we" doesn't work here. Some people might have missed it. Some people might not know it's out on DVD. Some people might be new to CB or new to coaster enthusiasm and didn't know.

I think the bigger question, Danny, is why are you buying Spy Kids 2? LOL ;)

I "got" it Moosh (I really did just rent it, along with Rules of Attraction, One Hour Photo, Ghost World, and Metropolis-- I got it nasai!-- if you care). ;)

It's not that bad either. I like kids movies. And Six Flags. And Vekomas. Leave me alone. :)

-Danny

Hey, in Danny's defense, the Spy Kids movies were lots of fun...although the 2nd one was about a half hour longer than it needed to be.

Hey I saw it in the theater. I wasn't going to argue with my 6-year-old "nephew" and 4-year-old "niece." (Quote marks indicate "fake" uncleship... i.e., best friend's kids. ;))

Danny - You like Vekomas? I can forgive you for Spy Kids 2, but Vekomas?

DeltaDawn - IMHO Spy Kids 2 was 99 minutes longer than it needed to be.

Moosh - also refuses to see that spy movie with that Malcolm kid.

Moosh, that new kiddie spy movie and Kangaroo Jack make Spy Kids 2 look like The Godfather. At least it's better (much much better) than the other Banderas action movie this year. :)

Vekomas are the coaster world's answer to hamburgers. Everyone has them and if you don't see anything else worth riding, they're always there to fill you up with short lines and loads of condiments. Whatever that means, lol.

Funny, I think Vekomas are like chores such as like dusting, vacuuming, and dishes: I'll do 'em, but only if I have nothing better to do.

You're such the optimist Moosh. ;)

I'm a realist, Danny ;)

And why did I know you were going to say that? Must have been the all natural flavors. :)

Oh, come on, 'Moosh. You can't tell me you don't like Deja Vu (aside from the long, slow moving, and did I say long?, line)! And have you ridden Rock'N'RollerCoaster? It's a fun ride, too!

(SF) Great American, whose entire experience with Vekoma has been very positive, in terms of ride quality.

P.S. Maybe I need to get out more...

Good job on renting Ghost World! That is the best movie ever... Okay, proceed...
Don't fo-get Superman @ SFHolland.... really a wonderful ride.... it wasn't any bumpier or any more uncomfortable than the average arrow.... ya'll all need to give the following companies, corp.'s, parks, etc. a brake:

SF, Vekoma, SFKK, TLC's (that falls under Vekoma, but I thought id just point it out specifically) Gerstuliar Trains(sorry dont know correct spelling) and some other things which yall chronically whine about.....

Don't Worry, Be Happy

(I'll stop complaining about Carowinds)

There are some fun Vekomas out there, and I do like Deja Vu(though I won't stand in a long line for it).

As for Spy Kids 2, loved the first one, this one just rehashed the same gimmick and got old fast. Cool for kids, I'll skip em' from here on out. :)

Please, people...I'm just teasing Danny. There are a few Vekomas I've enjoyed including Deja Vu, R-n-Rc, and a few others.

Man, I know if I didnt have a daughter I would have missed out on the Spy Kid's movies, Monster's Inc, Ice Age, the Toy Story movies, Shrek, etc. , etc.

Before my daughter was born, I wouldnt touch an animated or kid's movie. Of course I am talking about during my adulthood. :)
