SFoG's Déjà Vu

Monday, August 30, 2004 9:15 PM
SFoGswim's avatar I noticed that rcdb.com no longer has the ride listed as Standing But Not Operating. Has it been running recently?

On a side note, what about Acrophobia?

Just this past weekend Deja Vu reopened (Canyon Blaster also opened). Acrophobia has been running for about 3 or 4 weeks. When I rode it the ride was not fully operational (not tilting or spinning).

Deja vu was running pretty well on Sunday - I rode with no problems. Like Cameraman said, Acro is not tilting or spinning.

rollergator's avatar See ya there Dawny! :)

But I thought the N American DV triplets were the set of stemware...;)

I'm also looking forward to (ya ready for it?) that awesome new KIDDIE COASTER! Sorry for shouting, I *do* get excited over those things.

Also looking forward to: Gotham City Crime Wave, and that indoor flat whose name I don't recall...SFGAm got the best *rides package* this year, but SFoG got the second-best deal in the chain....just a LITTLE bit slow getting the new stuff up and running....;)

Next year's headline: SWAT replaces First-gen Intamin drop at SFoG....I just KEEP trying to get rid of that thing, LOL....Sorry Tina! ;)

Good to hear about Deja.........MAYBE I will get that final Deja credit sometime later this year.

S:ROS awaits instead for my Labor Day plans......

Crive Wave is both unconfortable, short, and boring, but go ahead and give it a try.

Shake Rattle 'n' Roll is a scrambler that is in the dark with blacklights and music plays, way cool!

coasterqueenTRN's avatar I thought you didn't do those anymore Bill, or was it that Tilt-A-Hurl that put you over the edge? :-)

rollergator's avatar Scramblers and Wave Swingers are A-OK Tina, as are MOST flats....Tilt-A-Hurls, Paratroopers, Teacups and Rotors are the rides where I like to see *long* lines, since those people are waiting for something I don't care to ride EVER again anyway....;)

gator, put *on the rack* in The Dungeon @ MSAP

coasterqueenTRN's avatar LOL! I still think the Torture 'O Pain at Lake Winnie was my "I will NEVER dare do that again in my life" type of ride.......yeeeouch!

Although the Scat thingy at Beech Bend looked almost as sadistic, but lucky for me it wasn't open.

You mean SCAD? Isn't scat a term for something that shouldn't be discussed on this site?

coasterqueenTRN's avatar Yep, it was a Scat.....Scatistic? :-)

Beech Bend was flat ride heaven.......next time I will check their hours before dropping by so late. I "assumed" they were open much later than 6pm. :-)

Anyway, glad to hear the Deja is awakened and hopefully it will be running for you guys this weekend, Dawn/Bill/Joe/Kristin....anyone else. :-D

rollergator's avatar Just for the general enlightenment, as wel as to *clean up* this thread, Scat 2 (thanks Adam):
http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Index%20Pages/scat.html

SCAD is Safety Catch Air Dive, the freefall attraction into a SUSPENDED net...

The *other* scat, I dunno, you'll have to ask Joe...;)

edit: URL fixins...:)
