SFMM's Sky Tower reopens after 4 years of SBNO

False. However, on certain days when it's too cold (below 50 degrees), Ninja will not operate. But this past 2005 winter, Ninja was operating frequently, except when it was closed during Tatsu construction when they began erecting the lift and flat spin parts.

This is all great news!

The pics I have seen of Sky Tower look great. The paint job and the carpeting on the skydeck, etc. look awesome. For some reason I always thought the Sky Tower was exactly like the Eiffel Tower at PKI. I didn't know that the Sky Tower's deck was enclosed.

How in the blue hell did Burke and company keep this observation tower closed for so long? I mean how much did it cost to throw some paint and carpeting on this ride? I just don't get it.

They couldn't afford it, what with their addiction to buying all those big roller coasters, 'cause they were in competition with Cedar Point. ;)

wow thats cool.

does anyone know if the one at SFEG is open?

I'm sure the sky tower needed a lot more work than just carpet and paint.

The tower at SFEG is open when it can be.

Everybody go check out Magic Mountain's new homepage. They made it so it's similar to the other new Six Flags park homepages, but just sit there and watch what happens. It's kiss ass. Six Flags Over Georgia could have easily done something similar with Goliath!

I had heard *UNCONFIRMED* rumors that the SkyTower had problems getting approved by the State...in CA, I don't find that to be too hard to believe. NOT saying it was true...
If it was having probs getting approved by the state, the only thing I can think of is that it didn't pass the inspection of the elevators. All states as far as I know have to inspect elevators on a yearly basis.

So they probably had to bring the elevators up to acceptable safety.

They also probably had to have people repel down the side to inspect and repair the structure as well.

I have searched the web everywhere, but could not find a picture of the inside(observation deck) of sky tower.

Does anyone know where I could find a picture?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

^The site mentioned earlier.

For a crazy horse, you catch on pretty slowly.

Wow...that's a lot different than our tower at SFEG. Interesting...

Nice that the company is reopening rides they would have either kept closed or removed in the past. It's stuff like that which separates the good parks from the ones that you can't wait to rush through. Well, that and customer service...
That will be awesome! I will finally have a reason to drag people up to the top of the mountain.

P.S. Cutting across the mountain is a grate sort cut for getting from Viper and X to Riddler’s Revenge.

I rode the Sky Tower for the first time today, and wow! What a view! :) :)
