Have you ever gotten the feeling that you've been here before? Six Flags Magic Mountain 2001...
I am so jealous!! I am way over here in Eastern NC. (I just breathe deep and say "Hypersonic"). Anyway, am I understanding this right...we are not sure if "X" is from Arrow? If it is, do you think they have their web page down until the announcement, and will hopefully bring it back up afterwards?
Are you serious, man?. Dayuum, MM is breaking all kinds of records today!
Deja Vu: 196 feet
"X": 200 feet
Goliath: 255 feet
That will be 3 coasters in the Hyper range. Also "X" the first true Hyper-Looper and Dive Machine all rolled into one!!
So much for the "non-quality" arguement!!

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
matt1080 it does not race. Both sides are permanently fixed to one chassis.
You know what I find funny? The artist's rendition of Deja Vu. Look at the green grass and green trees all over. There is no green grass that I know of at Magic Mountain. Just thought that was funny. ;) I can't wait to ride both of these coasters. Heck, I wanna ride Goliath Jr. also. Big Poppa is awesome, and Junior should be a treat for the youngsters. X will definately be an extreme coaster, I'm actually having doubts about riding that one myself. Not much doubt, but a little. ;) 2001 in California is going to rule the coaster world! ;) Peace. :)

Medusa at Marine World: the best in the west!
All I can say is... ALL HAIL ARROW!
Yeah....I pretty much think the quality debate ended with that video. I for one am envious that SFMM is not up the street from me. I mean, with deja vu, you basically have the intensity of an invertigo, with the thrill of S:UE. And in X...well you have just about everything, including the flying part. Say what you will. I'd through my park loyalty out the window for a chance to get at those...especially on an uncrowded day (homer voice) Ummm, coasters *drool*
cheers,

"X" totally comes across as the largest most unique coaster to ever grace the face of the earth. We all thought that MF was the cream of the crop, but after looking at the video I have seen the light. SFMM 2001 - WOW!

Somthing magical has happend at his mountain. SFMM 2k1!
All you people talking about the weather back east makes me realize why I moved to SoCali. ten years ago. Brrrrr. And it is nice for a change to have some coaster attention on the west coast. You guys have tons of great coasters in many parks back there. Granted they are closed in the winter. But how many parks do we have out here? With the exception of the few in Southern and Northern Cali. I cant think of any other parks within a days drive, not counting the Family Fun Centers etc... I think the next big park near me is in Texas, maybe Colorado. I am always envious of you guys in Ohio, Penn. etc... who cant decide which of the 12 parks you are gonna go to. LOL And now its nice that you are all excited to come see our new coaster in X. Hope to see you all at Coaster Con 2002.

Say no, to lap bar nazis!
Can anybody get that video into some other form than streaming? I'd like to download it and actually watch it without the buffering and jumpyness.

Veni, vidi, coasteri!
(2000 - PKD, Dollywood, SFA, BGW)
Just watched the video...
Oh, dear God... this has to be one of the most exciting things to hit the coaster world since, well, Millennium Force. But nonetheless...
X looks awesome. I just can't say anything more than "Oh, my God..."

Is Parmount's Great America's new coaster an Arrow's Arrowbatic??????????
No, I got a look at it today and it is a standard Arrow wild mouse. It looks wild though, different from other layouts that I have seen. It's about 60-70ft tall, and the track looks to do some pretty wild things. Some of the track even looks banked at 90 degrees! It has yellow track with green supports.

Hey BMCOASTER, if you are planning another SFMM trip to ride X, I would give it a little time before booking tickets. just to play it safe, I dont think X will be ready anytime soon. It is a huge project and so much can go wrong. Just give it time.
