SFKK's Twisted Sisters name change.

Just got an update from KY ACE Reps Scott and Carol Holmes. SFMM sent them their new press release regarding this season at the park.

Among many new shows and a new Sling Shot ride, the park has decided to change the name of Twisted Sisters to Twisted Twins. The park is asking for twins to take part in the new name unveiling on April 2nd.

I am a bit confused about the name change. If anyone has any info on why the change, please post it.

My other car is now an Arrow X4D!

I'm guessing that too many people were coming to the park expecting to ride TS with Dee Snider and SFKK is not gonna take it anymore! :)

wasn't the name of the band Twisted Sister in the singular as opposed to the name of the coaster which is in the plural, though?

I almost originally posted that but since the ride name ends with an 'S', I didn't think it meant that much.

I can just see it now...

Dee Snider: WTF are you thinking? You named a coaster after MY band without MY permission! I am going to come down there and lash my blonde locks at you!

SFKK: Sorry Mr. Snider. Our coaster is named Twisted Sisters. Unless your band name suddenly went plural, we can't help you.

Dee Snider: Well..................fine! But come on........we are doing just about anything now days to survive. Can't we have our own roller coaster?

SFKK: Sorry Mr Snider. Parks don't theme coasters around bands.

Dee Snider: Aerosmith has one down in Orlando. We want one also!

SFKK: Well, we do have one coaster in the park that some guest say is a 'head banger'. That's right up your alley right? We could use a new name for it I suppose.

Dee Snider: Yea! It is. What can we call that ride now? Twisted Sister: The Rock -N Roller Coaster? Naaaaa, to similar. How about Twisted Sister, I Wanna Ride?

SFKK: Actually, the name change wouldn't be that drastic from what it is now.

Dee Snider: Oh yea? How so?

SFKK: Let's just say that this year we will be opening.......... Dee 2.

Exactly right, if you ask me Twisted Twins sounds rather stupid compared to Twisted Sisters. I wonder if it will still be Lola and Stella. Oh well the best ride at the park is still the top fuel eliminators even thoguh I havent tried em out yet LOL Ya gotta love raw V8 Horsepower.

This is actually the third name for the coaster if I am not mistaken. Originally, the coaster was to be named Double Trouble, but soon Six Flags bought the park and changed the name before it opened. At least, that is how I percieved it.

About Lola and Stella, I doubt the park will bother to change something they barely publicized in the first place. I couldn't find the names written anywhere on the ride.

Actually there is more news to report from SFKK than was released in that press article...

The "Thriller Bees" attraction along with several small flat rides removed late last season are being re-located to..... SFWOA.

So SFWOA IS getting "new" attractions this season. Word is, they are for the Sea World side of the park.

Didn't their press release say something to the effect that you would get off one coaster and ride the other?

Thought it said that you would ride one side and then ride the other with only one side loading new riders each trip.

Thats one way to operate both coasters and eliminate two jobs

Kinda bummed we missed out on a "Chuck, who" on this particular thread, I can think of lots of funny stuff. Sean, love the skit, keep 'em coming!

...bill, who still thinks if they got a bucket of grease for the "Screeching Siblings" that TS/TT has the potential to be a very cool set of coasters...and would be happy with that and a brand new walkway to the "far side of Louisville"...

Uhm,, Chuck, Who wishes you all have fun at SFKK and saying the press release says that riders from each train will switch with the other train.

Sounds like they're getting an 'Absolutely Insane' from S&S...THIS ONE being one of the ones to open WITH the 'vortex-shedding phenomenon' prevention modifications.
