SFGAm Ride News

i just hope that they keep power dive. its a fun ride and more and more of sfgam's flat rides are being removed (hay baler, cajun cliffhanger) i just wondered if anyone actually heard that power dive was going to be replaced with a ferris wheel. and if it is going to be removed, what is the point of keeping it closed for 2 years straight? i know theres operating costs but when its running there usually is a line to get on.

SFGAm already has removed Power Dive and The Cajun Cliffhanger.

I heard the Cajun Cliffhanger was gone, but not power dive. Do you have any proof you can show that it's gone? (I'm not arguing that you're wrong, I would just like to see a picture or an official statement that it's gone)

does anyone know if the power dive has already been removed? i really hope not.
I heard that Power Dive WILL be removed from the park this spring if it hasnt been already....I am 100% sure of this.

SFGAm Viper

does anyone have any proof that it will be taken out like MF#1RB#2BVL said?
I can give you proof in 28 days. Even if it still is standing, it probably won't operate.

Well if you look at the trend, they get a new coaster, or thrill ride every other year. 1995- Viper, 1997- Giant Drop, 1999- Raging Bull, 2001- V2, and Deja Vu, so they will PROBABLY get something big in 2003. The trend doesn't go back too far, but it is pretty reliable.

Busch Tampa had a trend going on since Kumba, yet they got nothing this year. That goes to show trends are not reliable.

The ride is still standing in its original position with all of its winterazation still on it. Cajun is totally gone! Powerdive will be gone for the 2002 season but dont get your hopes up for a new ride in its place, I wont tell you what is taking its place but its nothing ot get excited for.

[Rolls eyes.]

Regardless if you know what is going there, don't announce that you do. It's just annoying.

Sorry I guess your right it is pretty annoying. All I wanted to say is that there wont be a ride to replace it.

I forgot the address of the website, but it was somthin like Six Flags Great America Underground. Hope that helps! I'll try and find the site because it showed pictures of the counterweight of Power Dive in the parking lot.

Sorry DejaVuV2,

I didn't get a nap in this afternoon, and for those of you who know me, yeah, I'm the one to get cranky (for lack of better words) without one.
