SFGAm Questions

I am getting really excited about the 2002 season. I still have acouple of questions, and I want to get your opinions.

1. Which ride entrance do you like the best? I personally like american eagle's entrance.

2. Is it just me, or does Demon's drop seem a lot better than it looks? At first, I said "Demon's drop doesn't look like much," but when I went on it, I had this really cool feeling in my stomach.

3. I heard that Richochet was in the park before Southwest territory was made, where was it? Did it have a different name?

4. Before Raging Bull, didn't Great America's coasters seem kind of plain in color. I mean, they had 2 Black coasters, 2 white coasters, a dark red coaster, a brown coaster, and a dark green coaster. Ever since Raging Bull, they have come up with colrful coasters which makes the park look better. Does anyone agree?

V2 can't be compared to any of the rides in SFGAm!The Vertical Drop was amazing!

1. I like Vipers or Raging Bulls entrance
2. yes Demons drop is good in the back car
3. yes it used to be where DareDevil Dive is now
4. No I don't think it used to be plain.

3. It was called Big Top. I loved it then, no line! Ever!

I personally don't find the bright neon flourescent colors to be better looking. They look much more hyped, rather than fitting in with a theme landscape, they are just made to be visible from the highway...

1. Eagles entrance is great because alot of people arent aware of it (quick access and exit of the park)

2. Back seat of the Demon down the drop is some great "ejector" airtime.

3. As mentioned above, it was located where Dare Devil Dive is and was called Big Top. It was pretty cool in its old location due to being elevated.

4. Didnt care what the colors were as long as they were decent coasters.

Im going to grab a cold one! WHAT? Walk to my computer! WHAT? Turn the thing on! WHAT? Log on to Coasterbuzz! WHAT? I said log on to Coasterbuzz!! WHAT?WHAT?WHAT?

LOL...

For number 1, he was asking about "ride" entrances. It nearly fooled me too Chitown.

But isn't the South park entrance closed? They announced last year that there would be no more entrance there.

1. Batman: The Ride (no duh!)
2. Demon rules
3. Funny, I rode it once as Big Top, but havent had the desire to ride it since it moved
4. You forgot that big blue skein of steel Shockwave (are you counting AE as two coasters?)

Ooops. O.K. to answer number 1 correctly.

Batman:TR and Viper have great entrances.

"The Peoples Elbow" or "The Spinaroonie?. Cant decide which is the most electrifying move in sports entertainment!!! LOL

I wasn't counting on American Eagle as 2 coasters. I knew about the blue on Shockwave, but it stilled seemed plain. I think that the park seems brighter.

Sorry for any confusion on entrances. I like eagle's entrance because how nice the eagle looks on top of that house thingy.

I like Batmans entrance, I guess its just becasue its the most eavily themed area I relaly like that a lot! As for the colors fo the new coasters, I thought that they were great especially Déjà Vu but now that you mention that it doesnt fit in to the themeing Im thinking about it and your right, now I really dont like the new colors anymore :( I think the park needs to concentrate more on themeing it is coming way down. I jsut got back from UIoA and I relised I love that park so much becasue of the great extensive themeing! Just makes me more sad about SFGAm.

But out of all of the SF theme parks, SFGAm still probably has one of the best theming out of all of them. So we're pretty lucky that SFGAm has the theming that it does have. Most SF parks don't have that.

Okay, then I'm confused. What would be the second white coaster you refer to in your original post?

I just have to add, with all this color discussion, there is 1 black coaster. Demon. There is one midnight blue coaster. Batman. Thats right, it's not black! It's only very dark midnight blue.

Jed might (note, might) have been referring to Demon's original paint scheme. I believe it was white when it was Turn of the Century.

RCT hypercoaster crazy!

Or Spacely's Sprocket Rockets. But was that built before Raging Bull, I'm not sure. I think it was though...

Are you forgeting Port Adventura and Six Flags Mexico?

Yes Spacleys was before Raging Bull in 1998. Bull was the next year 1999

uhh...Port Adventura is a Universal property. I can't comment on SFM, but I'm always hearing that SFGA is the best themed.

Yeah, batman's entrance is the best. gotta love a small, hidden opening on the side of a snack shop ;-), I do not know why, but whenever i go there, they hardly ever use the main enterence, (even thought it is hardly busy when i go) , but that small, hidden enterence on the side though. I think they should rework the queue, so that you ALWAYS enter in the main enterence, then work your way back to the switchbacks (if needed)

Welcome one and all, y'all come have a ball!
Things a bear-y fine, ridin' on the old Knott's bear-y line!
