SFGAM Announcement February 4th!

On Bull the 3rd train usually goes on some time between 11 and 12.

CobraRoller. That is for the most part true but we are basically talking about 1-train operations in which you will never see Bull running 1-train.

""To be the man, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!, You got to beat the man""!!!

I swear on my membership to ACE, SFGAm is not a 1-train kind of park. STFU, jkpark!

Man, that one day when they ran two trains on V2....talk about kicking it up a notch...:)

Yeah Bull usually adds the third train after some of the leads get their breaks.

I love how everyone jumped on the guy for calling it a one train park. Go CBuzzers! ;)

Chitown, I was just making an observation, that even though Six Flags Great America is not a "one train" park, they still don't run to full capacity when they should. They still do a very good job compared to most parks, though, so I shouldn't complain.

1)Raptor's
2)Deja Vu's (times 3)
3)Batman Knight Flight's

If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

He's confusing it with MiA...;).

P.S. Joe C., loved the Bio in the ACE mag...nice! I still envy your track record though...

Joe,

SFGAm is one of the easiest SF parks to defend, so when the opportunity occurs, we pounce.

I'd add in my $0.02 but whatever I could say on the 1 train fallacy has been stated multiple times already, so to them, I say, "Amen, Brother!"

I never been to the park either but I don't think a park with the capacity they get would run 1 train operation on any of their rides. I can tell he has been to CP and sticks with that being the only park in the world that runs full capacity.

I always had this vision of V2 running multiple trains as being like one of those desktop office toys with the metal balls attached to a string where you clank one ball and the other balls on the opposite end shoots up.

Completely random, but a funny thought nonetheless!

Legendary, what do you mean they add the 3rd train after the leads get their breaks? That has nothing to do with it?

I have been there when Wolf, Bull AND B:TR have all been at one train operation. That was a one time occurrence though. On VERY slow days, Wolf has had one, B:TR one and Bull usually doesn't drop down below two.

"Your village called. They're missing their idiot."

They were doing one train operation on most of their coasters in November.

Imissshockwave,

...you mean the two extra days that they were open and every coaster had a maximum wait of 5-10 minutes (other than DejaVu which was a whopping 20)...Days like that I don't care if they are running one train...

On more than one occasion during my tenure at the Bull, the third train was added when some breaks were done.

Also, sometimes they would pull the third train middle of the day (even when the queue was rather longish) to finish up breaks so ops wouldn't go into break violation. Then when breaks were completed, the third train would be put back into operation.

That wasn't always the case, but it did happen. Usually though, when I worked there '99 - beginning of '01, three trains were on in the morning. Especially in '99 and '00.

Anyhoot, back to the announcement, um...it's odd that they're announcing on a Tuesday. Usually parks announce on Thursdays.

It looks like SFGAm will be open for another weekend in November! Lets hope its another coaster riding heaven!

Restraining orders are just another way of saying I love you.

Heck,I knew what this ride was way back in may! But oh well As long an offical park anoucement is welcome in my book.

i know this is completely off the subject... but its pretty funny how everyone nailed jkpark for the one-train comment.... it really says somethin about the park.... as in its NOT notorious for one train operation like some other Sf parks

jus thoght that was pretty cool

Thank you rollergator, that's by far the funniest thing I've heard all day (maybe all week.)

We only run V2 like that for Emeril.

WOOD: It does a body good.

For the 2002 season Great America did run one train operation on Demon and Bull, but that was because of weather conditions. My neighbor works there and he said the reason why Bull usually doesnt start running with three trains is beacuse they have to have a certain number of people on the platform and they usually dont have it til 11 or 12.

Rumor has it that the newride isnt a complete clone of Georgia...it only has a single station.
