On their main page it says, "On Tuesday, February 4, Six Flags Great America will be making an exciting announcemnt about the 2003 season. Check back for more information."
I took that from the home page!
Looks like we'll have to wait another month.
P.S. - Is it just me or does it seem like SFGAM is always the last to announce new rides

Don't you know all parks must announce their coaster before CP...if they don't then they must be incompetent...

DejaVu Girl, SFGAm never intended to announce the coaster this Saturday. I don't know where you heard that from, but it's incorrect.
Can't wait to see what they talk about at NoCoasterCon!

Whats red yellow and blue at SFGAm...???
Yeah when Great America announces something it is usually on all the local stations like CBS, NBC, ABC and WGN news. It is usually at the very end of the broadcast though.

It will most definitely be in all the area newspapers (front page for some) and on all the local TV stations (ABC, NBC, etc).
I wonder when they're planning on opening it.

Whoopedeedooo! It won't be long until Six Flags runs only one train on that new coaster too. Hey, I'm not raining on the parade, I'm telling it like it is.

jkpark. Get a clue before you start typing ridiculous comments like that.
As Spacecase mentioned, SFGAm does not run 1 train on their coasters (except for DV and V2). They especially run multi-trains on their other B&M's so I dont see this new one being any different.

Put your sticky Cedar Point photos down, put both hands back on the keyboard, and stop making such idiotic generalizations about a park which you obviously have never set foot in! ;)

(well even though three people beat me to it while I was typing...)
jkpark, you've obviously never been to Great America. It is very, very rare for them to ever run only a single train on any of their coasters that have more than one.
But hey, I know it's trendy to bash on any Six Flags park, even if you don't know squat about what your talking about.
So, thanks for telling the rest of us "how it is". I don't know what we would do without your wealth of amusement park knowledge.

Recess, the only train operation that bothers me is Raging Bull's. When the run three trains the line goes very, very quickly. The weird thing is usually they don't start with three trains running, but instead just add the third one half way through the day. Why would you do this in the middle of July when you know the crowds are going to be huge?
