TiggerMan, do you want me to mail you a cough drop? I love the title of this topic"

Thanks dexter... I worked so long on coming up with the title ;) *cough* (damn, there is is again).

Ok.... 20 responses to this topic and not a SINGLE one answers my question, so I'll try again....

With seemingly ACRES of unused land to build on and use, why is SFGAdv building this coaster in the parking lot?

Men are like parking spaces... the good ones are all taken and the rest are handicapped or too far away.

I heard that the city or township or whatever jackson is did not want to cut any more tress down to build a new coaster. I also think that Six Flags plotted this so that The Great America and Great Adventure coasters would be identical in landscaping. Less thinking, more generic...oh so Six Flags (Like Whizzer was really leaving....HA!!)

I think they should let people park under it.

I like that idea... except for in the event of an on-ride "protein spill." Eeew.

Ew..and I thought a little seagull poop was bad. They'd have to have add an extra pay-per-attraction: the world's fastest car wash.

To anwser the question, didn't the city or township (or whatever) government decide that they were not allowed to build the new ride anywhere else? I remember reading that the park had a few other spots they wanted to build it, but it was undeveloped land that the gov. didn't want developed.

And that leads me to wonder why the gov. has the right to tell anyone what to do with the land one owns. The gov. doesn't own it, do they? Thank godness they prevented the coaster from being built somewhere besides the parking lot.

It costs less.

If the shoe fits, find another one.

Old fogey had a brain burp. :) I forgot Shockwave was actually where Houdini's line is/ino Island. Must be the block in my brain where I forgot the area was turned into a garden for a few years.
