Well, Cedar Point has Top Thrill Dragster new this year, but Great America has Superman: Ultimate Flight new this season. Great America is a real nice park, and while I've never been to any of the other SF parks, I've heard it ranks pretty high there too. Cedar Point, you've been there 5 times, you should know how good they are. All in all, it's whether you want to ride a new coaster and plenty of great ones (CP), or if you want to ride 12 coasters that are new to you (SFGAm). I've been to both parks multiply times and they are both very nice. It's up to you though.

If it were me, I'd try and go to both.

I would go to SFGAm as you have never been there. It's a great park and you'll get to ride coasters that are unlike anything at CP has to offer - Viper, American Eagle, DejaVu, Raging Bull, Whizzer and Superman. When given a choice, I always opt for different rides and a different park. This is not a slam on CP, but the choice is obvious to me.

I would suggest Great America. I think its a better park than CP, but ignoring that, its new to you. chances are if you've been to CP 5 times already, you'll go back some time soon and be able to ride TTD and whatever else they have there that's new. plus, if you try to ride TTD this year, you'll be stuck in a 6 hour line. chances are that the line will go down in following years.

gimmie a hell yeah!

Go SFGAm because 1.) you have been and 2.) if youve been to CP 5 times, chances are youd probably go again a sixth time soon. SF may not have a strata or a giga or a magnum, look at the advantages of Sf. (not ment to be a rating thing) Raging Bull- though tamed, still awesome. Demon vs. Corkscrew. Iron Wolf vs. Mantis. Batman vs. Raptor. American Eagle vs. Gemini. Viper vs. Mean Streak. come on! and then S:UF wich stands on its own and should be great after ive ridden its first sibling. Also DeJa vu on its own. Once again ive only listed the VS. things to shown similarities.

Wow, that's a tough call.

To be honest the Superman flyer did little for me (at SFOG at least) and Top Thrill Dragster seems to be this year's "must ride" attraction. But the allure of going to a park I'd never been to would be tough to overlook.

If it were me, I'd probably go with the park I'd never been to - especially if you were just at CP last season. You'll get back soon enough to ride TTD.

Honestly, if it were me, there woudl be no contest. I would go to Great America. Not because GAm's a better park: I wold have to, grudgingly, give that distinction to CP. But you should always try for new experiences (and it doesn't hurt ot up that coaster count!). If you've been there five times, you'll get back to CP to ride Dragster some other. day. Meanwhile, Great America has some great coasters that you don't want to miss.

I hear America screaming...

It all depends, really. If you don't think you will have a chance to go to Great America ever again (I doubt that, but maybe not for a long time), then head there. Also, if you go to Cedar Point frequently, head to Great America.

The top 3 all time cobrarolls.

1)Raptor's
2)Deja Vu's (times 3)
3)Batman Knight Flight's

If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

I'd pick SFGAm over CP any day, even if I hadn't been to either. SFGAm might have fewer coasters but (IMO) they're better overall than CP's. When I go to CP, I really enjoy MF, Raptor, Mantis, Disaster Transport, and Gemini. At SFGAm, almost *all* if their coasters are fantastic (Deja Vu, Iron Wolf, B:TR, Viper, American Eagle, V2...and Raging Bull and Whizzer are okay). Though I'm sure I'll get to CP once this year to give TTD a shot, S:UF interests me so much more. And some of the flats at SFGAm rock (particularly Ricochet and Fiddler's Fling).

I would say go to SFGAm to ride their excellent collection of coasters. Just as Coasterdude said, even though Cedar Point has more, the high quality of the rides at SFGAm makes up for it. If you have been to CP 98479 times and never been to SFGAm, then you are missing out. Will you have the opportunity of just hitting one park, or could you go to SFGAm early on and then CP later in the season? I think everyone should give GAm a try, it's an excellent park.
I would also recommend going to SFGAM. It sounds like you have been to Cedar Point several times and were their last year. SFGAM has alot to offer in great rides and a new experience is also nice. Its always great to go to a park for the first time and expereince rides that you have only heard about!!!
Since you have been to Cedar Point many times you should go to go to Great America. While Cedar Point is a much better park SFGA isn't bad and Raging Bull and Viper are a must ride at least once in your life.

I don't care what anyone says, Magnum is better then Millenium Force.

coasterdude318 said Iron Wolf was fantastic......Wow!
That's right! :-)

I'd could go to SFGAm and ride Iron Wolf all day without feeling like I missed out on anything.
