When it comes to parking lot theming, Medusa has Scream dominated.

Did you purposely almost reference Dominator there, another floorless.

Dominator doesn't sit anywhere near a parking lot... ?

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
^ Re-read the post he replied to. It's dumb, but you'll get what he meant by referencing Dominator. :)

Oh. I see now. Re-reading it not only made sense of the post, but also showed me I don't really understand things the first time through. I thought it originally read, "Medusa and Scream dominate". Still has the 'dominate' in it, though, so that's no excuse.

It seems as though most folks are happy with the changes made to the park. http://www.timesheraldonline.com/ci_5519335

So how long before the excuses that it's early season and SF always starts off strong but cuts everything by mid-summer begin? ;)

I dunno. Seems like the right track to me.

The right track, Gonch, but how many trains will be running? :) :)

1 train op is still poor on the best track (unless it's a shuttle, then more than 1 train is baaaad :) )

I posted some pictures of SFDK from this opening weekend if you guys are still interested. It has a bit more captioning than other updates I have seen posted.

In person it is very nice! Overall, it felt like they could have used more time to get everything in place and all the rides going, but the atmosphere was very nice. According to the park the are going to be very strict with the rules to maintain the family atmosphere.

It was great to see them valeting cars, but it was a little sad to see them parked on Zonga's old concrete pad. :(

Medusa ran 3 trains? thats a first!

Seriously? Some of you guys actually liked this park? When I went, it was actually worse than I had imagined. The animal portion was definitely not up to Busch standards (of course not). The installations of Roar, Medusa, Cobra, Kong, and Zonga were fairly bad, as far as placement and asthetics. The rapids ride was closed in the middle of June, and the SF parade was one of the lamest that I've seen.

On top of that, the tram service was pretty lame, and yes, so was the parking lot theme of Medusa. I was also not much impressed with ROAR, which should have been better than SFA's version.

On the plus side, Medusa is one of the best floorless coasters I've ridden, and the modified V2 is unique. And they do have some interesing flat rides.

This park, however, needs some work. It's nice to see them pouring so much into it, but I hope that this isn't a one-time thing.

coastin' since 1985

I wasn't completely impressed after I saw a lot of the media-day pictures, it looked more like a decent zoo to me, but after seeing opening day photos I have to say the park looks great. I just hope that SF tries to keep all three areas up to date, including more rides in the future.

PROUD- on Scream! over a parking lot. Top 10 Coasters: 1.) Millennium Force 2.) Maverick 3.) Goliath (SFoG) 4.) Raptor 5.) Déjà Vu 6.) Scream! 7.) Top Thrill Dragster 8.) X 9.) Magnum XL 200 10.) Viper (SFGAm) -- Thrills Around the Corner!

I know, I know. Surprising isn't it. ;) Looks like the West Coast Six Flags parks are working up the capacity ladder.

Magic Mountain's Goliath and The Riddler's Revenge were both in three train operation this past weekend. Probably the first time since it opened in 2000.

I am really impressed myself. There are some serious improvements all around. Credit is always givin where it is deserved. Not always, but hay!

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.
Very nice indeed, I love the new sign-age!

I tried posing a thread about that photo TR on a Nintendo forum and got bashed severely for it, stupid fanboys didn't even get the idea I was trying to convey to them, or read the topic before deciding to bash my post saying "OMGzors WTF go away spammer!!" I even said "scroll down to see what I mean" and tried to explain the whole merging of 2 of my interests and a compromise between 2 different industries and so on.. but I guess they don't actually READ before they post... sorry random rant lol.

They did a nice job with the park tho!
