SFDK re-theming photos....

I just saw this photo TR from a media preview and had no idea the re-theming of the place was so invloved. I'm impressed. If they can have good operations and good customer service (I haven't been since '00 when my opinion of the service was fair at best) it could be an awesome park. What do you think?

If this is any indication of what could be happening at other SF parks in the next few years, I am incredibly pumped. It all looks beautiful and really seems to refocus the themes and goals of the park. Just wow.

Maybe someday going to your average SF park will be a true "experience" and not just...well, you know. We don't need another 11 page thread about what the average experience is like now. :)

Paint, signage, new concrete and the like go a long way to improving the look of any park. If they can match it with a positive guest experience (not that I've ever heard of any real issues at that park), then perhaps we really are looking at the start of a turn around.

Thats an amazing turnaround at that park. I've never actually been there, but there is quite a difference between those photos and previous ones.

I am actually a big fan of SF parks and think they had a really nice atmosphere already. If they made some of these changes to their other parks I think they really could have a turn around as Jeff said.

PROUD- on Scream! over a parking lot. Top 10 Coasters: 1.) Millennium Force 2.) Maverick 3.) Goliath (SFoG) 4.) Raptor 5.) Déjà Vu 6.) Scream! 7.) Top Thrill Dragster 8.) X 9.) Magnum XL 200 10.) Viper (SFGAm) -- Thrills Around the Corner!
Another thing struck me....this park could turn out to be what SFWOA should have been, if SF hadn't bitten off way more than they could chew.

I wonder if any of this stuff will make it's way to Great Adventure's Safari experience this year.

It would seem this park is fast becoming the SFFT and SFGAm of the chain. I really enjoyed my day there this past summer although quite a few rides were down with school back in session. SFDK, Bonfante, and SCBB make the bay area a great park destination. Don't get me started on that other park in the area. ;)

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
Are they getting rid of Medusa's parking lot theme?
I think some of the new stuff is nice but my experiences at the park were already great. The whole park is pretty new and when I went there I thought to myself that if all SF parks were this nice SF would be doing great.

I may need more time at this park than I thought when I go visit it for the first time.

From the looks of it it really could turn out to be a Busch-caliber park as far as themeing and immersion. If this is the direction they're going chain-wide, I can't think of any complaints.

I don't think you understand the definition of "theme." It's not a parking lot theme. It's just a parking lot/asphalt beneath the coaster.

And really...who knows? I hope they do, but odds are that Scream! and Medusa will be flying over former automobile parking area for awhile. Maybe Shapiro would like to prove me wrong?

I don't think you understand the concept of humor. Of course he (and everyone else) knows its not a theme.

Why don't you let him speak for himself? More like not knowing what "theme" is than intentional humor.
When it comes to parking lot theming, Medusa has Scream dominated.

"Would you like to buy a photo of you boys enjoying the Line Ride?"

I wish gadv was like this. I cant say anything rigt now because with all that they have been tearing down i feel they have big plans for gadv.

I hope though that they do this kind of stuff at all there parks.

More like taking things way too literally.

Not even. The joke was pretty obvious as it was.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
