SFA or SFNE, Where to go?

SFA would be the better choice I think. The selection of coasters is awesome. Gotta love the home park.
SFNE is my home park and I have never been to SFA but if their SROS is anything like SFDL then I would say you have to go to SFNE. I road SFDL SROS this past Sunday and it was pathetic compared to the one at SFNE. I hate to bash a coaster so, but it really was a monumental disappointment. Nitro is better and I am not a big fan of that coaster. Granted I had just ridden MF the night before which could have clouded my speed judgement but it was still weak. SFNE SROS is awesome but I don't know if its better than MF. It has more ride elements but IMHO nothing can match the speed and intensity of MF which is still my favorite steel coaster despite the fact that I have ridden SROS countless times more. Bribe your parents and try to hit both parks! Then you can compare the SROS's and experience everything. If you are a SF season pass holder its pretty cost effective. Especially considering that a SFNE pass cost about the same as one day admission to most SF's parks. Mine has more than paid for itself over and over again at different SF's.

I go to MIT.  It is hard, but if you want a tour around the place, let me know.  I've been to both SFA and SFNE, and I would say SFNE.  Especially with the new B&M coming in.  S:ROS NE is so much better than S:ROS SFA and while Batwing was a great experience, I think that a new B&M will top it easily.

The legend lives!

P>ey sethman, bluesoccer, and figaro.  I'm another SFNE native, from the new haven (CT) area.  I was at supermania also.  I was the 5'9 white kid with the AE cargo kahkis, Rx Bandits-progress shirt (red), and a structure fall coat (grey fleece one way, green windbreaker the other.)  I'm a S senior, and was with my fellow classmate, a 5'7 chineese kid wearing a blue coat.  /P>
P>FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff">  I thought i had missed the beggining of the morning ERT, but i guess there had been problems and they extended the time. I got 15 S:RoS rides that day, with only 1 train runing!!!   The night ERT was awsome too, just got to sit on scream for 6 rides straight, and then walked over and selteled into a middle seat on the thunderbolt for around 10-20 rides.  I met some really nice people, rode every ride in the park, and barely waited in line for anything.  What a great day!!!/P>
P>FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff">   I'll be right there with you guys on the beemer opening next year, but wasnt the announcement supposed to be yesterday (10/1),  I was looking foreward to that!!!/P>

i would go with SFA much better park. Also has much better coasters. Batwing is the best. Superman is so cool. has killer air time and the speed feels like alot more than 75mph. Jokers jinx i think is a great ride. if they put the lap bars on like we are all hopeing it will be a much better ride. Roar my fav. wooden coaster. Wild one great air time. Two face is pretty good ride. They also have pretty good flat rides. Also SFA will be getting a B@M coaster. and it will be a stand up or a floorless and believe im telling the truth. So go with SFA!!!!!!!!

coaster8888777, have you even been to SFNE? It doesnt sound it but here is what it comes down to, If you want AIRTIME,INTENSITY, SPEED, go to SFNE Even though SFA has more coasters like someone else said most are clones. There SROS cant even touch the SFNE version its that good! If your a fan of wood coasters Cyclone will leave you breathless the airtime and speed is nuts, If your into airtime Thunderbolt and SROS should sooth your craving. The coaster at SFA Mind Eraser is the same coaster at SFNE, the same one. its QUILITY over QAUNTITY and SFNE wins. Flashback is also the smoothest vekoma Ive ever been on.

I would say SFA. Even if Superman @ SFNE is as good as it sounds, I think that Batwing will more than make up for that for you. Incredible experience, and SFA's Superman is a fantastic coaster as well. SFNE is recieving a small B&M next year, SFA may possibly be reciving a much larger B&M.
Plus, I do beleive that Joker's Jinx will be getting it's much-anticipated lap bars next year. For woodies, I hear that SFNE's are fairly rough. SFA's are both smooth.
SFNE has a Boomerang, SFA has an Invertigo.
The SLCs can be ignored, since both parks have one.
Just my input!

no, Thunderbolt is VERY smooth. Cyclone isnt that rough if you sit near the front. Plus, its being completely re tracked for the 2002 season.

Hey mikeska22, I was planning on going to Supermania! but then my plans get ruined by a soccer game (I am a junior in high school) and other conflicts. i wanted to go really badly, SROS is the perfect hyper and ERT on it is amazing. It sounds like you had a tight time!!
If you want smooth woodies then SFA is your best choice. Both Roar and Wild One are smooth no matter what seat you're in.And SFA's S:ROS kicks butt especially at night.

that sux that you missed it, sethman.  It was reallyawsome, i dont know why my message showed up with

P>FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff">

all over it, what the hell is that about.  If you dont think the thunderbolt has any airtime, go in the back seat and leave you seatbelt all the way loose.  On drop 3 (right after the weak double down) and drop 5 or 6 (the complete bunny hop before the final turn) you will be flying out of your seat viciously.  Also, seat 1.3 works great for the bunny hop.  And the cyclone is far from rough.  It sux that they castrated it, but it still gives some harsh ejector airtime (especially in the good old days of the morgan trains with two position lap bars (open and closed, but about 4-5 inches from you) and no seat belts.  Try siting in the back seat and not geting scared that your gonna die on drop 5 (right after the mass of anti-rollbacks)

It truely is a great park, with one less dead end thanks to the stairs from poison ivy to paul bunnyan land (or whatever its called)  If you decide to come hear, ill show ya around if you want (and if i am home and dont have work.)  I've never met a fellow buzzer.

If SFNE were my homepark, my response would have been pretty much the same.
