Some of you guys are pretty quick to jump the gun. All he asked is if there were any hope of a coaster at SFA for 2002, and he has to hear reply after reply about how selfish he is? Give him a break, he's new. Just because you don't have any coasters near by doesn't mean that you have to take it out on him. Sheesh.
(And for the last time, Roar East and West are not clones. They are very similar, but not clones.)

If the shoe fits, find another one.
Thank you!
Yes, thanks again ravenguy98.
Another note: I live 15 minutes away from SFA. I have been very satisfied with what they have done to the park over the last few years. I expected a year to be taken off for building a new coaster. Besides, like someone else said, there are other area's of the park that need some small improvements, maybe they have put money into those for this year.
And another thing (responding to 2hostyl): Jokers Jinx and FoF are technically not the same. JJ is slightly different as it is a sort of upgrade next to FoF. The noticable difference is one that one is outdoors and one is in, and the other is that JJ doens't have mid-course brakes like FoF. Yes, they are extremely close to being the same! But they still have some slight differences!

So...you can't handle a rollercoaster huh? Well...you ARE the Weakest Link! Goodbye!

If you think that the lack of a midcourse brake makes JJ significantly different from FoF, then I'll just respectfully disagree. And the fact that FoF is indoors is what, IMO, makes it more enjoyable than JJ.
And I'd like to know what you think on JJ is *upgraded* from FoF.

A Vekoma SLC would do Nebraska wonders! :-)
I thought Joker's Jinx was possibly the worst LIM coaster Ive ridden, and it was'nt bcause of headbanging. It was because it was too slow and boring.
Anyways, everyone who lives near SFA should hope for a good old B&M Invert, I feel every good/great park should have one. Because that horrible SLC is just not gonna get it done.
I think instead of coasters, the park should take a year to focus on some good flat rides, and getting rid of some of those horrible dead end paths
CoasterFan4Life:
As I understand it, SFA plans to eventually connect the back end of Gotham City with Coyote Gulch creating a second full loop and eliminating those dead ends. Some of the work that was going on down by the creek behind Batwing last fall may have been the first step in this direction, but don't expect to see this area suddenly fill up. I expect that, if correct, this will be a decade long expansion.
A couple of people in this thread have asked for confirmation that JJ is getting lap bars, but there has yet to be a definitive response. I know this is not confirmation, but I was at a AAA show earlier this month and the extremely nice park rep there said that she did not think that JJ was getting lap bars. She may not have known, but she looked surprise that I even asked her.
Take it for what its worth.

BATWING, you want a B&M right?
Consider it done, I'm transferring my home park's (PC) Vortex to you. It should be arriving sometime next week. And um, thanks for S:ROS, we'll enjoy having it.
