Out of the coasters i've ridden here is what I rank them overall:(ive been to canobie lake and SFNE)
1. S:RoS 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Riverside Cyclone 4. Canobie
Corkscrew 5. Thunderbolt 6. Galaxy 7. Mind Eraser 8. Dragon coaster 9. poison ivy's tangl
Enjoy actually having a park that isn't 4 hours away from you! Any rollercoaster is welcome here in Nebraska, even clones!
I agree with MikeMir87, you seem selfish.

SFA does have alot of open land for its development. That doesn't mean that Six Flags Inc. is going to fill it up every single year. I'm just glad that JJ has received lap bars. Goodness. Also maybe this year the employees overall will be nicer and maybe I won't be kicking around trash when I'm walking through the park, even in the water ride boats. Man.
No hope for a coaster in 2002. Sheesh already! Why don't you give SFA the money for another coaster this year? Last I understood there were QUITE a few properties associated with Six Flags Inc. Engage brain before engaging fingers next time.

You have NINE roller coasters to ride, isn't that plenty? (Not saying more wouldn't be welcome.)

800,000 years in 7 seconds: Time Machine the movie or next S&S creation?
A couple of more things:
John1941: We don't have 9 coasters. We only have 8, and one can't be ridden unless you have a child.
Coasterking: We have two coasters that aren't clones. Wild One and Roar (the first one made) are not clones, although Roar West could be technically called a clone of it, even though the ending is different, and it has different rolling stock. Two Face is the only Invertigo in the whole Six Flags chain. Jokers Jinx was designed in Maryland, something I'm extremely proud of. What does it matter that there is a clone in Texas? The last I checked, it's a long, long drive to Texas to ride Poltergeist and a long drive to Ohio to ride X-Flight. Lastly, I have yet to hear anyone say they woudn't ride S:ROS because there's one in New York.-------------
The word "definitely" is definitely the most misspelled word on the buzz.

Yeah, but it only a short hr drive down to PKD to ride FoF! ;) And I have to say that FoF is a more enjoyable incarnation of the "Mad Cobra" ride than JJ.

Batwing, Superman, Jokers Jink, Two Face, and Roar, all within a few years...how AWFUL that must be.
Oh...that was sarcasm.
PS - Roar is not a clone, its the original. SFMW's Roar is the clone.

2002 - the year of LoCoSuMo!!
I would suspect SFA may promote JJ as a new ride. It is getting the lap bar treatment, right?

I wouldn't count on seeing a new coaster built at SFA until around 2004 what with sky escaper being removed this year and a ferris wheel replacing it most likely in 2003.It is about time they started focusing on other area's of the park and the area where sky escaper is/was is a good place to start, however if and when we do get another coaster I would like it to be a B:M and not another vekoma. After following some of the coaster construction during the off season this year it looks to me like SF seems to show a bit of favortism to some parks and a bit less to others when it comes to what brand of coaster they choose to install at each park, case in point: SFGRADV,getting a B&M last year and SFNE getting one this year.It seems that SF favors SFNE a bit more right now and that's why they get the B&M and we keep getting the vekomas It's kind of the same with La Ronde,we all know they are getting a B&M B:TR clone for thier debut season but SFA sure didn't get one,all we got was an invertigo and a premiere LIM coasterWhen it comes to the signature rides like B:TR I think SF should build them in each and every park or don't build them at all and remove the one's already in operation that way everyone can have a chance to ride them regardless of which park they have access to.Does anyone agree on the issue of SF showing favortism to some parks and a bit less to others?
Shaggy, I seriously doubt they'll promote Jokers Jinx as a new ride. The season pass circular sent out tdidn't mention it at all. As Jeff said, how do you promote lapbars? I can just see the copy now "You've had your headbashed for three years, you've had to remove everyone of your piercings, and you've had to endure the horrible smell of the earpads after rainstorms. Now you don't." Not very catchy, is it?

I believe SFA owns about 500 acres of land, the 3rd most of all Six Flags parks, behind SFDL (around 900acres) and SFGAdv (1000+ acres). Now let's look at those three, SFA has 9 coasters, SFGAdv has 11 (including Viper), and SFDL has 6. Can you guess as to which one deserves an expansion for a large land mass and a lack of expansion since 1999?
Some of you guys are pretty quick to jump the gun. All he asked is if there were any hope of a coaster at SFA for 2002, and he has to hear reply after reply about how selfish he is? Give him a break, he's new. Just because you don't have any coasters near by doesn't mean that you have to take it out on him. Sheesh.
(And for the last time, Roar East and West are not clones. They are very similar, but not clones.)
