SFA Fright Fest 10-13

Associated parks:
None

Just got back from SFA. Had a great time. The time to go to Fright Fest at SFA is on a Sunday afternoon. Virtually every ride was a walk on. S:ROS, Wild One, Roar were all running two trains, Batwing and Two Face were running one train and Joker's Jinx was closed with the trains off the track. Roar seemed to be running especially well and I experienced the best air time yet on S:ROS. The park looked really spooky after dark when the fog machines began to work. A slight wind blew some of the fog over S:ROS. Don't waste your time on Wolfbane, Puck the Hypnotist was okay but I'm pretty sure at least some were plants in the audience. Hallow Lights was pretty nice and you never know what is going to jump out at you. The Midnight Express was okay. All of the water rides were closed and the water was drained out. Don't know if this is standard or not but it should clean the water up. Take a look at Shipwreck Falls and you will see all of the garbage on the chute. I do wish they would do more decorating of the park.

A good day at the park all in all. Will go back next week and catch up on what I couldn't this week.

BTW, still no signs of any new rides.

The water rides being closed is standard for this time of year, although I believe Shipwreck Falls was still open last weekend. Trust me, there wouldn't be many takers for Typhoon Seacoaster, Shipwreck Falls, or Renegade Rapids with the normal October weather at nigh during Fright Fest (which we haven't had yet). By the way, I wouldn't expect to see any new rides until opening day of next year. That's typically the way SFA works.

Well now I've gotta wait till closing weekend to go to the park,my plans to visit SFA tomorrow were cancelled earlier in the week so we plan to go a week from tomorrow instead.

If I see any signs of a new ride I'll be sure to post it in my TR.
