SFA and ultra twister

I dont know if this has been posted yet, but I live in Bowie MD and thats right down the street from six flas america. Well I was heading out for the night into Dc for the night and as I was driving pass SFA THERE WAS A FLAT BED TRUCK SITTING AT THE LIGHT WAITING TO TURN INTO THE PARK AND IT DEAF HAD ULTRA TWISTER TRACK ON IT. Sorry I dont have any pics to back it up, but it was there for sure. I dont post on here much but read the forums all the time so I just thought I would share that bit of info.

Penn STATE U BABY!
Old news. Whether they'll install the ride or simply store it at the park is speculation at this point in time.
Nice picture Phantom! Hopefully they will actually install it then store it. We havent gotten a new coaster since 2001.
Well there's still plenty of time to get permits & do the basic ground work so we'll have to keep an eye on the planning board agenda to see what comes up.

Don't forget SFA actually filed the permit requests last season for bahama blast & tornado only after the rides were built & operating so anything's possible.

Yay!! Now SFA fanboys can quit complaining about a new coaster!! ;)

i'm not sure what to put here..

Eh not yet, its not official. :-P

I wonder what ever happened to that Person who said that we would get three coasters this year. Like that would ever happen! I bet they feel realllllllly stupid rite now. I belive it was like coasterniece or someone. Hehe o well.

Na, coasterniee was the one claiming SFA would get a 500' tall coaster for 2006... (at least I think that's who it was)...

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Maybe it will... maybe Ultra Twister will be installed "on end" and operate vertically instead of horizontally?

Cool idea except for one small problem the 200 foot hight limit.

Nope, they're burying it in a 300' deep hole!

:p

This has been discussed, a lot! They have a 200 Restriction, not limit, if they really want to go over 200 they can, just it takes lots of time. They just chose to stick Superman in a 5 foot ditch so they wouldn't have to get past the process of building at or over 200 feet.

Colin, Coaster Lover:

I remember that girl sent me a viscious PM about how she was right and "I would see" when they got their 3 huge new coasters. HA! :)

Hahaha! Pete thats funny stuff. Do you still have 'em? I found her profile, she hasnt been on in months, probablly figured out that it would never happen. Muahaha!

Actually the trench effect on supes is pretty good,I usually ride on the left so I don't have to worry about the hand choppers on that side though.

So is anyone gonna try & get some pics?man where's Sam when you need him?he wasable to come through & get the first Batwing pics for us & that was back in 00 well before the ride was announced.

I've reminded coasterniece a couple of time on a couple of threads that she said a 500' coaster was heading this way and I haven't seen anything towering over SFA the few times I've driven by the park.

I think she pops in about once a month, posts a couple of messages and moves on.

BatwingFan, ever consider there is a possibility that there is nothing to take pictures of?

A day at the park is what you make it!

First off, I come on here a lot more than once a month, usually about every day or two. I don't post a lot, just mostly browse because the threads aren't as new as they are during the season.

Second, I WAS told by park officials of the coasters coming, it's not my fault that they lied about them, I was just trying to spread the word. Therefore, I don't feel really stupid right now. Colin, you know who I am because I have talked to you on IM.

Peabody, it wasn't a viscious PM. :/ I don't get angry over subjects such as coasters.

Thank you very much. :)

CP was amazing, going back next June to ride Maverick

The 2006 SFA map can be found here http://www.sixflags.com/parks/stlouis/pdf/map.pdf (somebody screwed up and put it up in place of the SFSL map that should be at the link).
Looks like we're getting a whole lot of nothing. At least they have the right colors for the rides (painted slides in HH and ME). Well, hopefully we'll at least see a lot of customer service changes and new paint and such around the park for 2006...

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

But Coasterniece your Uncle (who works at the park) said we were going to get a 500' coaster and you were extremely confident in that prediction. No one could tell you otherwise.

As for the map, it does lay to rest Ultra Twister coming to the park for the time being. The park doesn't show any indication where the smoking areas are, I suspect there will be a revision in the future.

Thanks for the link SFZIP. Anyone know how long that map has been out there like that?
